ESAD 2018 Retirement List Blog Hop

Welcome to ESAD 2018 Retirement List Blog Hop.

We are saying farewell to Stampin' Up! products from the
current Annual Catalogue and Occasions catalogue.
You may have just joined me here as your first port of call
or just left Peta Stephen's blog where I am sure she has
something truly AMAZING to share with us.

Sadly some of my favourites are leaving us for FOREVER.
When I was at OnStage Sydney for the release of the new catalogue launch,
the first set that I noticed was leaving us was Number of Years....
I searched the new catalogue for it, unable to find it!!!
I couldn't believe that it was RETIRING....I am really devo it is!!!

So it was a NO BRAINER that I use the Number of Years Stamp set
and matching Large Number Framelits Dies to create my project for this hop.

Seen as though 2016-2018 InColors are retiring too, I chose to use them.
Firstly I cut numerous number 0-9's out of the retiring colours
Peek-A-Boo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum,
Emerald Envy and
Dapper Denim ...
My friend told me that I was crazy cutting all of these out and add them to my project.

I had seen a card on pinterest recently where the numbers were on the
diagonal orientation and knew straight away I wanted to do that...
I found it just now 5.35pm,  Alisa Tilsner created it

So I started drawing lines across my background to line up the numbers to form the layout backdrop.
I didn't place numbers where I knew that I was placing my photo. Only bugger was that when I finished sticking all the numbers I had to try to erase all the lines...
BUT I will say that Stampin' Up! cardstock stands up to the rigors of all the rubbing out.
Looks GREAT hey? I thought there was too much white background,
I cut some off the edges of my background and added a Dapper Denim border.
Unfortunately I had used all my 12x12 Dapper Denim, so I had to use strips to make it fit.
I knew that I wanted to use a 50th Birthday photo of myself,
I wanted to use retiring Sweet Soiree DSP and
Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit to finish off this layout.
I am so happy with this finished layout I think it will end up in a frame.
I had to photograph it on the inside of the back of the frame as I haven't got a spare.
The FIFTY was on my Birthday Cake, it is wood, so it is too heavy to go
inside my Scrapbooking Albums.

Now I had so many numbers left over I decided to make a couple of cards
with these sets and kits too...As I said I will be very sad when they leave.
The Number of Years has so many great filler flowers and leaves which makes
easy backgrounds for behind popped up Large Number Dies
and the inside of your card...Do you decorate your inside of the card?

I found this card on Pinterest as my inspiration, here is the link to original creator.
Loving this card made with Sweet Soiree DSP and Embellishment Kit
which has the velvet ribbon, the die cut flowers and vellum accents.
And MORE left over numbers...Always use them up on Birthday Cards.
I have many friends turning 50 this year, so it will be used soon enough.
Now you can still purchase all of these products in my online shop
please use my hostess code for April and I will send you a Thank You gift

Global Stamping Friends - Extraordinary Bloghop

Welcome to Global Stamping Friends Extraordinary Bloghop,
like the name suggests we are from all over the Globe.
This month we are featuring OMG!!! the new products from upcoming
Annual Catalogue due for release June 1.
You may have just joined me from Courtenay Heuston,
who I am sure will have created
some very beautiful cards.
I am very late in creating my project, just finished now....
So please excuse the lighting issues.
I decided to create a Shadowbox card that I watched
the Pampered Stamper create on a FB Live.
The first one Jackie share a photo of mine on her blog
that I created as soon as FB Live had ended
This is my third card that I created from her tutorial
Lou Kitzelman also created a similar card

I only got my (BBB) big brown box of loveliness on Thursday morning.
Tonight was the first chance I have had to play with these GORGEOUS products....
I wanted to use the Share What You Love Specialty DSP, along with all the matching
products that have been offered for Early Release for customers on May 1
Along with the DSP, I also used Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Speciality Paper.
Statement Of My Heart Stamp Set which is only available
if you buy the "Got to have it all suite" and returning colour Mint Macaron.
YES you heard correctly Mint Macaron is returning along
with Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana,
Poppy Parade and Blackberry Bliss.

This Shadowbox Card project will sit on my unit that is home to my stamp set
beside my lovely light box that we received from Stampin' Up at
OnStage Sydney April 18.

Here is a close up of the Shadowbox card
Up next is Anastasia Radloff, if you loose track of who is up next you can just click on the names below if the Next GSF Blog link doesn't work for whatever reason.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - April - Favourite DSP

Welcome to Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.
You may have joined me from Vicki Hunter or started with me halfway
through this Blog Hop.  This month we are all focasing on our
favourite DSP from the Annual Catalogue. As soon as I saw the new catalogue
in April last year, I knew that Naturally Eclectic was going to be
MY FAVOURITE.  Loved everything about the suite.
Sad to see these designer series paper retire.
I have made so many cards and layouts with these products.
So today following on from my last blog post where I am trying to use up my scraps
from my desktop container, I pulled out all of the pieces I had already cut from
Naturally Eclectic DSP and Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies.
I used my favourite colour cardstock from 2017-2019 In Colors
Lemon Lime Twist for all my cards as it matches perfectly.
This is how I do my inside layers so that I can use the Emerald Envy
and Lemon Lime Twist layer to cut Birthday out of the scraps.

So many pretty patterns in this DSP range, I couldn't just stop at one card
The next card I used the Gemstone DSP & Diamond shape that I had already cut out
using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies.
I kept this card really simple...I let the DSP speak for itself.

Last BUT not least, more leftover bits from my container.
I actually had to cut a couple of leaves and petals to fill in the space.
As I have said I have used this set for so many cards and layouts
here are just a few I thought I would share.

Up next is my friend Lou Kitzleman
I wonder which retiring DSP is Lou's favourite.

So pleased that you joined me here, I would love for you to
leave me a comment in the box below and tell me which one is your favourite.
I will in turn leave you some love on your blog.

Next month at Stampin' Dreams we will be SHOWCASING

the new annual catalogue which is due out June 1
Here is the list of upcoming blogs if you want to join us on a hop.
