You may have just hopped from Sue McDonald's Blog.
Fall is not something we celebrate here in Australia,
so I decided to scrap some photos of my Cousin's Beautiful Family.

Fall is not something we celebrate here in Australia,
so I decided to scrap some photos of my Cousin's Beautiful Family.
I have kept it pretty simple Ink and Paper and some Die Cut shapes.
I grabbed the Come to Gather Suite products and Rooted In Nature Suite products
then I grabbed the matching inks to Come to Gather DSP.
Merry Merlot, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty Peacock.
I have so much Very Vanilla 12x12 Cardstock so I decided to use it as my background.
I stamped various leaves and background stamps on the RHS of my layout...
Not really thinking about where I was putting my DSP... I have covered a fair bit of it up.

Then I kept adding stamps until I was happy with the background
Next I started by stamping some leaves from both the stamp sets onto Very Vanilla cardstock then cutting them out with the dies that match the suites.
Some of the leaves I tried a new technique to me - Stamping with the Dies.

Have you tried this? This die is an embossing die...
So you have to fussy cut them out! Which I love doing so it was fun...

Stampin' Up! brought out some Embossing Mats that allowed us to emboss with our dies,
these have since been retired BUT I love them so I thought I would use them today.

So I used this to get the embossed look seen here.
Below this photo I will show you the Sandwich layers to achieve this..

Now I have done it upside down to the way that this designer shows us,
Just so you can see the layers.

Here is what it looks like after you run it through the bigshot,
look at that embossed texture.

Next I cut all my mats and then layered the leaves in and around them.
I cut out the word Happy from Merry Christmas dies 147912

I had the layout finished BUT I knew I was running out of ink,
URGH I hate that when it runs out!!!
So I tried to print all the photos and all BUT one is good!!
Sorry this happened...
