The Spot #138 - Sketch Challenge

Welcome to The Spot - Challenge #138 Sketch Challenge
I Love the intereptations of the other design team members...see them here...
I thought I would keep it very much the same as the sketch...
expect I added layers upon layers of outline circles.
I did this using a variety of circular dies in our Annual and August-Dec catalogue.
The first dies I used were Tasteful Labels dies and
then our smallest scalloped die in the Layering Circles dies.
I LOVE the idea of spotlighting a certain part of a card...

I created this card with Forever Blossoms and Artistry Blooms DSP...
I decided after the fact of making the card to add some Glimmer Paper
so I had to get creative and mitre my corner to make it fit the card base...

I also used the Glimmer Paper for behind the sentiment which is from
the BRAND NEW product Many Messages which you will find in the Jan - June 2021 Catty.

Such pretty paper that Glimmer paper, it doesn't look as pretty here in these photos as
what it does in real life <3

I hope that you like this sketch too and join us and post your card
to the this link...Looking forward to your creations <3

Winners will be announced NEXT Week...
Cheers Shaz

Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Blog Hop - Shapes by 9

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop for November 2020.
Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! is a group for those of you who
LOVE SCRAPBOOKING and who use Stampin' Up! products on their layouts.
Join us here...

We have the lovely Creative Design Team Sara Levin who got to choose this theme...
Shapes by 9...
IE: repeat a single shape of your choice 9 times in creating your layout.
This certainly made me think very differently...

You may have just joined me from Sara's Blog, her creation is just AWESOME!!!
We have 9 of us creating our very own versions of Shapes x 9.

I immediately looked at my Dies to see what shapes I could use...
I just purchased Stitched Triangles and I thought that I would just case the layout
on pg 35 of our Annual Catalogue...
BUT I went on a totally different tangent....
I thought that I would be make an alternate project with the products from
The Paper Pumpkin Kit - Joy To The World.
These kits are normally only sold in USA, BUT this year we have had 2 kits
sold globally to all the markets within Stampin' Up! company.

I was inspired by Rachel Tessman who made 40 cards from her 8 card kit by using
extra cardstock and cutting up the envelopes and cards to make them go further.
Sherry Roth who is also on our Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! also created
and alternative Scrapbooking Layout from the Joy To The World Kit

I could see a Christmas Tree as soon as I cut out all the triangles
So I created a Christmas Tree with 9 Stitched Triangles...
OHHH this Shapes x 9 is turning out easier than I thought!!!

So I had a tree so this layout was going to have to be a Christmas themed layout...
So I continued using the Paper Pumpkin Kit to create this layout.
I drew a circle in the middle of my Whisper White 12x12 Cardstock
to create a wreath with the wreath stamp...
I stamped 9 Wreaths stamped in Just Jade Classic Stampin Pad on my layout....
I added some berries around the wreath with Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin Pad.
I knew that I would place my Christmas Tree down the LHS side of the wreath.

I used some of the Cable Kit Embossed Card and Floral Die cuts from Joy to the World Kit
to fill the centre of the wreath.  I also used some Cherry Cobbler cardstock for my mats...
I overlapped the 2 photo mats...Adding Stampin' Dimensionals to the RHS so that I could
still add a photo on the LHS photo mat...

Next I added the Floral Die cuts again with Stampin' Dimensionals...
to allow for photo placement.
Lastly I added the Christmas Tree made from the envelope and cardstock....
Then I added the gold word from the word Die cuts in the packs.

Here is my finished layout...

Up next is Sharni Haines, I am absolutely positive that Sharni
will create something totally AMAZING...She always does!!!

The Spot #133 - Colour Challenge

Welcome to The Spot Challenge #133 - Colour Challenge
Pretty Peacock, Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie.
Please follow the Blog Post with all of my fellow designers for The Spot
and create your very own card and join in the fun <3

I created a CASE of a card that is in the Annual Catalogue on pg 85
Using the same set BUT just adjusting to suite this colour theme.

I used the Free As A Bird Stamp Set to stamp the image on Whisper White Cardstock
and then coloured with Watercolour Pencils - Pumpkin Pie,
Rich Razzleberry and Granny Apple Green from Water Colour Pencils Assortment 2.
I used the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch to cut out the first bird.

I continued the bird's sitting on the branch just on Vellum Cardstock
to tone down the brightness of the Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
that I cut with the Stitched Nested Label Dies.
I adhered this with glue dots underneath the flowers so that they were a little feature.
Added the Bird Stamped image over the top of this.

Next I added some Craft White Ink to the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock,
using a Dauber with the Spot Mask from Basic Pattern Decorative Masks
to tone down the vibrant colour of the Pumpkin Pie.

On a piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock I randomly stamped the leaves
from Free As A Bird Stamp Set then used the Postage Stamp Punch
and punched out 3 for the top and bottom of my card.
Keeping them in the correct order to adhere to my card front.

So my Card base is Pretty Peacock so I added my Postage Stamped Leaves
to the front of the card top and bottom. Next I added some White ribbon
from Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.
Then I added my Spotty Pumpkin Pie layer over the White Ribbon
using Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some dimension .
Next was the Rich Razzleberry Stitched Nested Label Die with the Stamped Vellum layer.
Then I added my Whisper White Stamped and Watercoloured Bird to the edge
of that layer popping it up on Stampin' Dimensionals to highlight this feature.
Lastly I added the Linen Thread to the card.

I hope that you enjoyed my card for this challenge,
If you want to take part in the challenge too please create a card
with these colours and upload it to this LINK
Looking forward to seeing all the entries this week.
Until next week, Have fun CREATING...
Cheers Shaz

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop - October - Nature

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global October Blog Hop -  Nature is the theme of this Blog Hop.
Sherry Roth from Canada is our Creative Design Team Member who chose this theme.

I am an absolute lover of Nature and the Great Outdoors so this theme is perfect for me.
BUT the Designer Series Paper I chose to work with for today's theme is Whale of a Time....
These papers are only 6 x 6 so it made me work a lil harder today...AND they are under
the sea theme, which will work perfectly for my photo from the aquarium.
The photo is of us in front of the HUGE tank and this turtle is photo bombing us!!!

I had been hearing that some people were having trouble creating a scrapbook layout
with this DSP, so I thought I would use the DSP alone without any stamping to show
that you can create a layout with the papers alone.

I have done NO STAMPING on this page...
Everything is cut from the DSP or I have embossed and die cut out some seaweed...
Aren't the designs on the DSP just AMAZING?

Behind the embossed photo mat I have use Just Jade Cardstock.
I used Pool Party Cardstock and ran it through the Seabed 3D embossing folder
to cover the top half of my layout and then also for my Photo Mat.

Up next is Libby Dyson who at the moment is creating with a bit of a handicap,
she is recovering from hand surgery....
SO I cannot wait to see what Libby created for this month's theme.

\

Thank you for joining in the Blog Hop this month, we appreciate you all participating.
Please continue to follow the Blog Hop all the way through...
If for some reason the NEXT link is broken, follow along with the list below.
AND I would LOVE it if you left me some LOVIN in the form of a comment in the box below.

The Spot Challenge #132 - Clean and Simple Fall Project

Welcome to The Spot Challenge #132 - Clean and Simple Fall.
I am absolutely LOVING being part of this group of Demonstrators from all over the globe
We all have so much fun with designing our challenge cards for you...

Traditionally Australian's don't celebrate Fall as a season.
BUT I absolutely LOVE what we call Autumn and the colours of the leaves
that change with the season...So hence my colour choice....

Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron.
Clean and Simple, I don't know that my card fits the descripton.
BUT it was an easy card to make...

I used the Arrange a Wreath Bundle

Baby Wipe Technique
Fold and Layer 2 Baby Wipes on top of each other
Add several drops of colour from the Ink refills and then once it is fully covered,
Ink your stamp up and the Stamp the image (Wreath) in my case
onto Shimmer White Cardstock twice...
Then Die cut with the Wreath Die as well as cutting a Mango Melody Wreath too.

Stamp a Cinnamon Cider Wreath onto your Mango Melody Card base.
Then using then Baby Wipe stamp pad stamps some leaves randomly over the background.
Adhere 1 of your stamped and die cut Wreath's over the Cinnamon Cider Wreath
slightly offset.
Then using some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals layer your Mango Melody Wreath on top.
Next adhere your last stamped and die cut wreath over the top slightly offsetting this one.

Next stamp the Pheasant in Cinnamon Cider and die cut. Add it to the bottom of the wreath.
Then I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider  and randomly added some of the
coloured ink from baby wipe over the sentiment.

My Card is not so much a Fall card, Colour of the Fall Season card.

The Spot Challenge #131 - Case The Designer - Sara

Welcome to The Spot Challenge #131 - Case The Designer - Sara Levin
I am absolutely LOVING being part of this group of Demonstrators from all over the globe
We all have so much fun with designing our challenge cards for you...
This week we get to CASE Sara's cards from her blog

The card I have chosen to case is a Halloween card BUT I have used
the following products that co-ordinate together Celebrate Sunflowers and Sunflower Dies.

Firstly I used the same embossing folder as Sara used Parisan Flourish
I actually used Flowers for Every Occasions DSP
which I ran through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine
then added the White ink over the embossed flourish design.

I have copied Sara's basic design elements of the wreath by using
the intricately cut Sunflower die. I cut 2 of those out of Bumble Bee Cardstock.
Layered them over the top of each other just off setting them a bit.
I added Stampin' Dimensionals between them.

Next I stamped and die cut some leaves in Garden Green to layer behind the
Sunflower Dies...Then I fussy cut one of the Sunflowers
from the back side of the blue dotty DSP, this is what I LOVE about reversible paper.
I added that flower over the top of the ribbon...

Next I stamped my sentiment and then created 2 banners to go together,
Using my bone folder to create some dimension I then layered them together.
I LOVE the dimension that Sara gave to her banners...So I definately CASED that!

Finally I added some Wink of Stella to all of large Sunflowers and then
flicked some Wink all over my card... I love the glisten of the gold.

Well I hope you enjoyed my CASE of Sara's Halloweeen Card
Here is your chance to enter with your case of one of Sara's too - Enter here
