Scrapbooking Blog Hop - Black & White Photos - June 15, 2023

 Sneak Peak

Welcome to June 15th Blog Hop, Thank you to everyone who joins and hops along with us.
We LOVE that you are sharing our LOVE of Scrapbooking together
with all things Stampin' Up! and our products that co-ordinate so Beautifully together.
We would LOVE it if you would join Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up!  FB group
and join us on the hops or just share your Scrapbooking layouts with us...

This month is it Maï Lavidalie time to pick a theme for our Blog Hop.
Maï Lavidalie's has chosen Black n White PHOTOS, this theme has a very broad scope.
You must use Black n White photos,
you could go with traditional B & W with a pop of colour
I LOVE me a Vintage photo with photo corners and frames...
Or maybe you have some other tricks up your sleeve to SHOWCASE Black & White photos.

Sadly it looks like her blog is causing her some issues and she hasn't joined the hop.
I am sure that she will POP her photo of her layout in the June 15 Black & White Photo album.
When she does you can find it here along with the rest of the layouts by the end of June.

You may have joined the hop from my page or Julia's
This layout is another simple layout, I took my guidance from the DSP
Did I tell you there is a DSP (Designer Series Paper) SALE? more about that later.

I used the Masterfully Made DSP and Zoo Crew DSP.
As the Masterfully Made DSP had the torn look to it that is where my layout started.
This DSP is just sooo Beautiful and creative, they tore all these pieces of paper up
embossed some of them and then put them back together then photographed them.
(This information is from Ronda Wade, as she got to meet the designer and saw
them in real life at the Home Office in Riverton, Utah USA)

So getting back to my layout I chose the 2 really vibrant pieces and then
as this was a Black & White theme I chose 2 pieces of Zoo Crew that
worked with these bright pieces...
Then to keep with the torn edges theme, I tore the floral one.
I also cut out the cute lil critter from the other side of the floral paper.

I do this to all my scrapbooking layouts, do you do it too?
Frugal Scrapper or just plain STUPID/CRAZY?
I cut all the excess away from my layers so that I can use them on other projects.
I know one of our other Design Team Member does this too...

Once I had added all my layers of DSP I decided I needed to find my Black & White photos.
I never had any idea of which photos that I was going to add to this layout,
FINDING the perfect photo, this took hours scrolling through my photos.
I chose photos of me and my camera, which normally goes everywhere with me.
BUT lately I seem to use my phone, which the photos are NOT as crisp as camera
for Happy Snaps.

I chose to use one of our Online Exclusive products - Radiating Stitches for my photo mats.
ALSO I used them for the circles and hearts on the layout.

You will find the lil critter with a camera on the circle.

BTW....
I spent most of the day yesterday making a floral bloom for the page layout,
before I knew which photos I was going to use on my layout.
I took the inspiration from the B&W Zoo Crew DSP with the cute lil flowers.

I decided that the floral bloom wasn't going to work with those photos.

Sadly it didn't end up making it on this layout, BUT anyways that is how it goes!!!
I used Sentimental Park Stamp and Dies and also the Petal Park punch.
Flowers were stamped in Berry Burst, Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia
with a pop of Crushed Curry leaf from Quite Meadow.

I seem to be making layouts without any stamping these days...
(If the floral bloom made the layout I would have some stamping LOL)
I used the Bright and Beautiful Memories & More Card Pack Sticker Sheets
to add all the embellishments to this layout.
You receive 2 sheets of each stickers sheet in your pack.

I used the Alpabet A La Mode dies to create my title
and the (Happy) is stamped from Best Family Ever Stamp
OMG!!! There is some stamping on this layout!!

You can't see all the layers here between the torn edges BUT there is some serious
dimension on this layout... I might have to try and photograph all the layers.

That's all from me today... I must make another layout with that bloom.

Up NEXT is our fellow Creative Design Team Member Courtenay

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop - May 18, 2023 - Birthday

Sneak Peak

Hello from Sharon (Shaz) from Studio Shabaz - CreativeMe68 Blog
Welcome to Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! May Blog Hop
This month it is my pleasure to support my fellow Creative Design Team Member
Julia Quinn with this month's theme Birthday's.

Every year we have a Birthday, some celebrations are bigger than others.
This year for me it was a very quite one.

Thanks for joining myself and the other participants for this Blog Hop
This month I have decided to focus on one of our many kits from the Kit's Collection
in our Online Store.  It is PERFECT for this theme.

Confetti Birthday Kit

I needed a quick and easy scrapbook layout this month as I am in
the middle of prepping for my monthly class and time always seems to be short these days.
I have not created this layout for anyone in particular BUT I am sure that
you would be able to add any photos to this page.

On my background I used the Balloon Stamp, Banner from Beautiful Balloons
to create the stamped background with Confetti, Streamers.
Next I used the stamp that came in the kit and added Candles and Let's Party
in Blueberry Bushell which also come in the kit

Firstly I grabbed the envelopes of all three cards and cut the side off so that I
could use the whole envelope on my layout...

I knew that I wanted to use the fringing die from Beautiful Ballons Dies
Firstly I cut the front part of the envelope into 1" strips
to run through the Stamp,Cut and Emboss Machine.
Repeating this with all three envelope colours to make a fringed border
from the Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist and Flirty Flamingo.

Next I added Tear N Tape to the backs of the envelopes and
created my own pocket pages with our clear plastic sleeves.
So that I could add multiple photos to this layout.

I also added a piece of Lemon Lime Twist DSP from the Bright and Beautiful DSP
These papers go with everything...It pairs perfectly with this card kit.
As well as another piece of Blueberry Bushel DSP with stars on it to compliment
my background cardstock.

I also used one of the cards from this kit and created the present card
to go on this layout as well.  It has a fun shaker card element filled with confetti
to add behind the present windows.

This was a FUN layout to complete, I cannot wait to add photos to it.
I have a couple of Birthdays coming up that I am sure that I could add those photos to it.

Thank you to those of you who joined in this month for the Birthday theme.
Up next is our Scrapbooking Global Friend Cheryl Taylor
Be sure to follow the whole Blog Hop around and give the participants
a lil bit of love for all their hard work.

Until next month, have a FUN time creating
similar layouts and be sure to share them on Scrapbooking Global FB group

Cheers Shaz

Scrapbooking Global - Mar 16 - Creative Backgrounds

 Sneak Peak

Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! March 16, 2023 Blog Hop.

Delys Cram is our Creative Design Team Member this month, she lives in New Zealand.
This months theme is Creative Backgrounds, we have 8 participants from all over the world.
I cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with for their layouts.
Delys always creates AWESOME layouts that we love, especially her backgrounds.
It's been a while since we have seen her here for our monthly blog hops.
Looking forward to seeing what she creates for this theme.

Thank you for joining us for this month's hop, you may have followed Delys
here to my Blog - Studio Shabaz - CreativeMe68

My layout is very simple today, stamped stitching with Stitchery Stamps
and using Blending Brushes with 4 different coloured ink pads.
I have seen the starburst kinda layouts done before with paper, BUT I wanted to keep it very clean and crisp using Stamps and Ink only.

I drew a starburst design on my Very Vanilla 12x12 Cardstock with a light pencil

no 2 triangles were the same size, some bigger, some smaller.

Next I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp various Stitchery lines
within the starburst to define the areas.

Next I cut myself another template with 3 different size starbursts
to add colour using Blending brushes to the interior of the circular shape.

First colour I chose was Coastal Cabana and filled in a couple of sections.
Then I used Calypso Coral to fill in a couple more of them.
Followed up with Orchid Oasis in other sections.
Lastly I used Evening Evergreen BUT I brushed the excess off before adding it to the page.

Once I was happy with all the colours I then set about encompassing the shaded areas
with random words from Today is The Day Memories and More Card Pack.
I also used a full 3" x 4" card with a phrase on it,
which I used the layering circles dies to cut to size.
Then I used a 4" x 6" card with co-ordinating colours to layer behind the circle.
The title of the page layout is 365, twenty-four seven
which was also cut out of a 4" x 6"card.
Lastly I added a small layer of Calypso Coral behind my photo.

It is something very different to what I normally make, BUT I like the clean and simple view
that this layout has taken on by keeping everything minimalist.

Up Next is Beth Rush with her AMAZING layout

Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop - February 2023 - LOVE

Welcome to Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.
We are an international group of Scrapbookers from all around the globe.
It's been a while since I joined a hop, so I am keen to
rekindle my LOVE of Scrapbooking and thought what better way to jump back
in was with a LOVE Theme.

I chose to use the Hello, Irresistible 6 x 6 DSP Irresistible Blooms from the Online Exclusive.
These products will be available from March 1 until they sell out.
This DSP is just pure magic, the art work that designer has created
with all the flowers and leaves that are printed and they have matching dies
to cut them out with your Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.

Sooo no fussy cutting, which I actually LOVE. So all the hard work done for you.

I chose a layout from Pinterest to case.

Those who know me well, know that I LOVE Designer Series Paper.
I love that our DSP co-ordinates with everything Stampin' Up! has to offer.
So NO Stamping on this layout for me...

Sooo I used a couple of different DSP's to create this layout
Design A Daydream 12 x 12 DSP from the back of the Annual Catalogue as a Host reward
The Irresistible Blooms 6 x 6 DSP - Online Exclusive March 1 release
AND some of the Beautiful Texture Chic 12 x 12 DSP
along with the matching Texture Chic Memories and More Card Pack
The Distressed Gold 12 x 12 Specialty Paper

 Other products I used were
Love For You Bundle
Penned Flowers Dies
Irresistible Blooms Dies
Retired Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls

The photograph is layered onto a small piece of Petal Pink, Design A Daydream 12 x 12 DSP
Then bordered with Mango Melody cardstock.
I created a FAUX pocket under the photo so that I could
add hidden journalling on the pull tab of Moments.
I just used the Foam Adhesive Sheets to create the gap
for the journalling to slide in and out of.
The Hello, Irresistible flowers and the Tag are not actually stuck to the photograph
they are just sitting over the edge and they are stuck with some more of the
Foam Adhesive Sheets outside the perimeter of the photograph.

I saw that the original creator had used her sewing machine by the look of it.
BUT we have a stitched border in the Penned Dies and I just
used that to create the faux stitching lines on my Petal Pink layer.
Also I used that same die for my stitched scalloped border out of Calypso Coral.

All the layers to form the central design element.
Small pink floral background DSP is from
Design A Daydream 12 x 12 DSP
Flirty Flamingo layer of cardstock (which I cut out the excess, very frugal)
Petal Pink layer of cardstock with the faux stitching
Small strip of
Texture Chic 12 x 12 DSP
Stitched scallop border die in Calypso Coral cardstock.

All the coloured flowers and the printed leaves are cut from Hello, Irresistible DSP
The diecut leaves are cut from Evening Evergreen cardstock.
Lots of lovely layered flowers using the Foam Adhesive Sheets again to create layers.
Also you will see some Gold leaves these are from the sticker sheets
in
Texture Chic Memories and More Card Pack.

The So Much More is diecut from The Distressed Gold 12 x 12 Specialty Paper
with the Love for You dies from the Mini Catalogue.
I added some
Retired Gold Adhesive Backed Swirls to finish off with the golden touch.

This was so much FUN, so glad to be back.
Can't wait to do more scrapbooking in 2023
