Welcome to Scrapbooking Global's Annual Catalogue Blog Hop. Our very 1st Blog Hop, very excited that you could join us...There are 23 talented artists joining us on this hop.
Grab a cuppa and be inspired...So many photos to tell you how I made my project.#scrapbookingglobalaugustbloghop
Let me tell you a little bit about our Facebook group "Scrapbooking
Global".
It started out in Jan 2017 after a few like minded Scrapbooking
enthusiasts
(Stampin' Up Demonstrators) felt that there was a need for OUR very own group that focused on Scrapbooking/Memory Making using Stampin' Up products only.
So this group was born out of that desire...Today the group has over 2100 members and growing everyday... AND although many people believe that Scrapbooking is a dying art form, I disagree wholeheartedly as you see from all these beautiful layouts, projects and pocket page scrapbooking using Memories and More or Project Life cards.

I did my very first Scrapbooking layout in 2002, 15yrs later my love of everything that encompasses scrapbooking grows daily.
You may have just joined me from Lou Kitzelman, such a wonderful idea.

My project is using a product that I have had for 3 months and I hadn't even opened it.
Whoops MY BAD...It has so much potential, so many possibilities.
It is made out of the Window Box Thinlits 142762

I am heading away next weekend for a creative retreat to North Stradbroke Island
for 4 days with my Best Friend... I cannot wait! I made this mini album for her <3
Firstly I cut out 2 Window Box Thinlits out of Crushed Curry Cardstock, with my Big Shot. Fold on all the score lines and you have to trim one two fold lines.
I joined these together to create a box, with strong double sided tape.
Click on link to watch a Stampin' Up You Tube video tutorial.
Next I created the album pages using Dapper Denim cardstock
out of the very same Window Box Thinlits...using the big shot again BUT
not cutting it completely all the way through.
It is a lil bit of fiddling BUT worth the end result.

Now I just have to decorate, that is the fun bit right?
OK here is what you have been waiting for after all that BORING stuff!!!
I decorated the pages with Color Theory Memories and More Card Pack 144210,
they come in a pack of 72 double sided cards with acetate windows and stickers. These packs are designed for Memory Keeping, Scrapbooking and Cardmaking
BUT they can be used on OTP projects (Off the page).

Want to see more??? Yes please!!!
This is how I decorated the lid of my box
How did I do it...
Firstly I stamped the sand - Magical Mermaind with Versamark and then embossed with Gold Embossing powder, then I used the ink from Soft Sky to watercolour the background.
Then added the sea from High Tide, then I used Embossing Paste to add some clouds to my skyline and then lastly I stamped my lighthouse using Dapper Denim.
Lastly adding the sentiment to create my lid of the box.....
Want to see the rest of the box, Of course you do!!!
Here is a close up of the sand
Before I added the photos around the box, I was thinking of using Swirly Scribbles Thinlits...BUT I didn't like them at all.OK I will show you the completed project now
To create the photo of the sea all around the box I printed 2 photos exactly the same, joined them together. Using the Window Box Thinlit as a template I worked out where I would have crease the back of the photo to fit to the box...
I created a Memories and More Scrapbooking Pocket page using the very same series of cards.... This time it is for my very first trip to the snow at the tender age of 40 ++++
