Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop March - Easter Theme

"Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. This month's theme is Easter Theme.
You may have just visited Anna Krol's blog, weren't her projects SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL.
You are currently visiting Shaz from Australia I hope you enjoy my card.
Easter has so many traditions for people all around the world,
for me it is all about the Eggs...especially the candy ones....
Hence why I chose the background for my card.

Of course I used everyone's GO TO for ideas... Pinterest
This idea comes from Michelle's blog

So I had a search through my new products from Occasions catalogue
as well as my FREE Sale-A-Brations products and decided to use these products

to recreate this or something similar.
Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set 145519  $30
 Picture Perfect Party 6" x 6" DSP 145559  $17.50
We Must Celebrate Stamp Set Clear Mount 145898  $35
Tailored Tag Punch 145667  $31
If you purchased all these products from my store you could choose
FREE Sale-A-Bration Ribbon 147143

From Jan 2-Mar 31 any purchases over $90
you can choose
FREE Sale-A-Brations products

I did something that I have never done before I chopped,
very carefully with your sharpest snips....
YES I could hear you all saying DON'T CHOP the Stamp Set up!!!

I was a lil bit scared, BUT I wanted to use them all individually
So I really had no choice right???

Then I grabbed the Tailored Tag Punch and cut 4 shapes out of Whisper White cardstock.
Then I inked up the bunny with Archival Basic Black and stamped the images strategically.

I used Archival basic black because I wanted to add
colour to the images with ink pads and aqua painter.

Why I used what ink I did, it's all explained so accurately here in this visual
from Katrina Duffill (Ink Paper Girl).
I got permission from Katrina before posting...Thank you <3
BUT I am sure she will love the exposure.
Her blog has so many beautiful examples of her cards. She is very talented.

OK, Sorry I am easily distracted.... back to the card directions....
I used Blushing Bride and So Saffron ink pads
and Aqua Painter to colour his ears and nose.

I did exactly the same on the bunnies as I did to the lil piggy
Try to make sure that you aqua painter is not dripping with water
as it will make your paper very soggy. You will need to put them aside to dry completely.
Now add black ink to the edges, see HIND SITE TIP below

Next I punched 3 Tailored Tag shapes from Coastal Cabana(retired)
as I was out of Bermuda Bay.
As well punch 3 shapes out of Lemon Lime Twist too.
Next I cut down the images with the bunnies on inside the punch
as I wanted a border of Coastal Cabana behind the bunnies...
See photo tip

Once you have done this to all images we are ready to put the card together.
HIND SITE TIP - I had to outline the white tailored tag punched pieces with black pen
as they didn't POP when the card was already together....that was fun NOT!!!

For the card base Whisper White Thick - 4-1/4″ x 11″ folded in half at 5-1/2″
Lemon Lime Twist mat.
Peekaboo Peach mat with Picture Perfect Party DSP.
Added some Sale-A-Bration FREE ribbon to the DSP on a diagonal.
I placed the tailored tags
strategically on the DSP

I used Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set 145519 for the 'Treat Yourself' sentiment

I  hope my card brightened your day and hopefully inspired you
to try to recreate or CASE (copy and selectively edit).
Thanks for popping by, please check out everyone's designs.
Please leave me some love in the comment box below
Cheers Shaz

PS... I need your help, here is my unfinished crazy idea that I had yesterday
and it took me all day yesterday to create...
Who loves paper piecing???
Starting with this

Mid construction

Is this the final card or Not??? Sorry bout the quality :(

  14. I love your list of what SU! inks to use with what Black inks! Is there any way you could see yourself revising this chart? I'm very, very forgetful! I'd like to make a current chart to keep on my desk so I can tell at a glance which black ink to reach for! Thank you so much for creating the first one. Now, that one is obsolete! Again,TFS!
