Scrapbooking Global July Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global July Blog Hop, This month's theme Travel was picked by our Guest Designer
Lotte Noordzij-Walther who lives in Rotterdam, Netherlands
We have 19 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world
today who are participating in this Travel Blog Hop.
Cannot wait to see what they create!!!

You may have just joined me from Danielle Bennenk blog or you have
started the hop with me...Sharon Dalton from Central Queensland, Australia.
At 51, I went on my very 1st overseas trip in April this year to New Zealand
with my Upline and fellow Demonstrator Susan Luke to Auckland for OnStage
so I thought it was appropriate to scrap these photos.

I went with a sketch to create my layout as I haven't felt like scrapbooking lately.
And these really help me out when I am in a bit of a creative rut!!!
Do you use sketches to help you create too?

I chose my products from this See A Silhouette Suite Bundle 152169

The Designer Series Papers I chose was See A Silhouette 149443, they have a beautiful
colour palette to suit any kind of photos BUT the one that I thought fitted these photos
perfectly was this one. All the swirls reminded me of the swirls in the clouds.

Then seen as though it was New Zealand I thought I would use the
Fern leaf from Daisy Lane Cling Stamp Set 149325 to create my circle

around my photos in the sketch.  AND with this I thought I would use the NEW Shimmer Black Stampin' Emboss Powder 149512 with the matching Silhoutte Scenes Cling Stamp Set that I got the phrase from, as well as these children represented how I felt going on my very 1st overseas holiday.  So very EXCITED!!!

I really didn't want to add a scalloped border as per the sketch so I just use the swirl from
Good Morning Magnolia Cling Stamp Set -
149298 along the bottom of my DSP.
You can buy Good Morning Magnolia 151087 in a Bundle saving you 10%

My title was created with Hand Lettered Prose Dies 149550
cut out in the die cutting machine from Pacific Point
cardstock 116202

I used two different die sets that Stampin' Up! have in this years catalogue.
Mostly I used everything that comes with
the See A Silhouette Scenes Suite 152169
which includes
Silhouettes Scenes Stamp Set 149443 and Sweet Silhouettes Dies 149541
As well as Well Written Dies 148534 to create my subtitles with the script font.
I added "S" to the ends of the words Friend and Adventure.

These words are from the phrase

Sorry about the reflective glare on the bottom of the photo...So hard to photograph.
I really wish that you could see the shimmer on the fern leaves and the lil children.

Up next is Cynthia McQueen with her creation...

  3. What a beautiful page Sharon!! I love how you composed it all with the Blue swirls, the fern leave that does remind me of New Zealand and the gorgeous symbolic silhouette of the children. And what brought it all together was the Shimmer Black Emboss Powder...which I now need to get! A wonderful page with what I'm sure are amazing memories!xxx
