Welcome to Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! July Blog Hop.
We have a full line up this month with 18 participants
If you are a Scrapbooker you need to POP over to our FB page
and join us for all things inspirational in relation to Scrapbooking, Memory Keeping.
We have an AMAZING Design Team of 7 from all around the world.
Creative Design Team member Maï Chapelain is in charge
of choosing the theme for this month's Blog Hop

https://mesmainslontfee.com/?p=6459

AND what a theme she has chosen Monochromatic...
What is Monochromatic theme you ask

Monochromatic schemes use different tones from the same angle on the color wheel (the same hue). Monochromatic color schemes are guaranteed to suit each other because they all come from the same family.

You may have joined me from Sara Levin's Blog,
Sara plays a HUGE part in the running of this Blog Hop.
Every month she sets up the InLinkz so we can all join in the fun.
So Thank you Sara <3 I appreciate all that you do for US all <3

So I chosen to use all the greys in our Neutrals Collection Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Gray Granite.
I chose to use these colours with Peony Garden DSP...
You may be wondering what you can see in that photo above
well it is a technique that I have been wanting to try for quite some time...
Painters Tape Technique...
So you need some low tack painters tape and you need Ink pads
I tore off some painters tape and added it across the whole ink pad
And then I added the colours to my layout...
Starting with the darkest to lightest just overlapping slightly.
Very happy with the texture it creates.

Then I used the vine from Very Versailles with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad
And I stamped 3 different vines over the top of each other,
moving the stamp up and down.

Then I used the script from Very Versailles and used Smoky Slate Classic Stap Pad
and kept adding layers beside the next one
and then added some more below that too....

Not exactly as you had planned in your head...Here is what I was working with.I thought that I would use the Good Morning Magnolia with this layout...
BUT some times what you think of creating doesn't quite work out,
I tried painters tape technique on the Magnolia BUT didn't like it
So I will use that on something else.

After I took this photo I added some more stamped elements from Very Versailles stamp.
On to fussy cutting Peonies from Peonie Garden DSP, which I absolutely LOVE!!!
I don't own the stamp set yet so I decided that I would just cut out a heap of blooms.
OHHH My Goodness this DSP is just AHHHMAZING!!!

Such Beautiful hand drawn blooms!!!

Anyways it is just up to cutting and placing which I found so
calming to create a blank page into a masterpiece...

I also added another photo mat layer of Basic Gray Cardstock underneath
this piece of In Good Taste DSP and like always I cut away the excess
not to waste all that Beautiful DSP.
I die cut out some extra foliage to add underneath the flowers.

Now to place all these flowers, the first thing I do is take a photo so that I
know where they all sit so that once I start to stick them with Tombow Glue
or Dimensionals that I am placing them almost exactly where they were.

Here is the finished layout with all the texture and depth of the reality of
real Peonies...So very happy with my Monochromatic layout.
I hadn't chosen a photo for this layout until it was finished...
Sooo happy that this photo of my Daughter and Son-In-Law cutting their carke
worked so well with the finished layout!!! Perfect colours too <3

Thank you for joining us on the Blog Hop, I do hope that you will
give a Monochromatic layout a red hot shot...
I just love that all the stamps and inks worked so well together.
Up next is Delys Cram with her AWESOME creation...
