Scrapbooking Global September Blog Hop

It's that time of the month again, on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
We the Creative Design Team and members of the Scrapbooking Global FB group
showcase Scrapbooking with a theme that changes monthly.
Delys is our Designer this month who chose Masculine Themed Challenge.

You may have just joined the Hop here or
just hopped over from Delys's Blog, she gave us a sneak peak
on Scrapbooking Global FB page
Isn't it a great layout?

To say the least I really struggled with this challenge!!!
I think a lot of us struggle with male layouts in general.
It is so easy to add flowers and pretties to a feminine layout.

I have tried creating 3 different layouts,
the first 2 are in a pile that may end up in the waste paper bin!!!

BUT luckily for me the last one I created I am happy with!!!

It is one of those layouts that just came together without too much thought.
I have been wanting to create a scrapbook layout with this set since I purchased it.
You can find it in the Annual catalogue on pg 162
I chose to do a very simple white space layout with a lil bit of grunge.

Stamping directly onto our Whisper White 12x12 Cardstock I created
my background with the woodgrain stamp with Gray Granite Ink Pad.
As well as this stamp I used the Lined stamp that is also in this set.

I used the Nature's Poem DSP, Stamps Set and Twine
which I must say is perfect for masculine layouts.

I used the Cajun Craze and Soft Suede and Stripe from Nature's Poem DSP,
I made the edges of the DSP and photo all torn and rough
using a distressing tool.

With Early Espresso Ink pad I added some stars to the page too.

Using our Banner Triple punch I added that behind the photo.
Also the Classic Label punch to add some sentiments to my layout.
Those words Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You is from Rooted In Nature Stamp Set.

I thought that I had finished until I thought I might add
just a couple of other stamped images and embellishments

Pretty happy with the end product...So glad that we can combine
so many of our stamp sets to create 1 layout and they all work so well together.
I borrowed the Country Livin' stamp off of my friend to use the boots,
which I stamped with Early Espresso.
I did a light watercolour on the boots with Gray Granite and Aqua painter.
You can find this set on pg 146 of the Annual catalogue

I used 2 different types of Ribbon & Trim.
The first one is the Mint Macaron Nature's Twine that I wrapped around my layout.
AND the second one is in the brand new Holiday Catalogue on pg 43...
It is called Braided Linen Thread - this trim can easily be unwoven for a frayed look.
Which I have done on my lasso.

Up next is another one of our very creative design team members Stesha Bloodhart,
I am pretty positive her layout will be nothing short of AMAZING...
She takes beautiful photos of her boys, I wonder if it is of her husband and their sons?

September Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop for September.
This month our theme is
"first". We have been told to interpret this any way you like..
such as first tooth, first trip to a new place, first born child, first day of something.

You may have just joined me from Delys Cram's Blog

Well I chose 1st Kiss - This month I will attend 3 Weddings in total.
So I chose to scrap the first Wedding of the month.

Now I have used similar products to a card that I made for the Bride and Groom
for this challenge... You will see some similarities to it.

I used Frosted Floral DSP this time as well as some of the co-ordinating cardstock.
I absolutely LOVE fussy cutting....Do you???
Fussy cutting these flowers and leaves from this paper allowed me to
design my floral spray across the page from the DSP design as it was printed.

Sorry about the quality of the photos, we have fires burning here this afternoon.
I will upload better ones tomorrow hopefully.

Up next on the Blog Hop is Tina Riddle
Thanks for Hopping along with everyone tonight.

Please leave us some LOVE by leaving us a comment.
Cheers Shaz

I have also used this layout for Scrapbooking 101 - KISS
the KISS is an acronym for 'Keep It Simple Sweetheart
'
Step by Step Scrapbooking at Scrapbooking Global.

If you want to join simply follow the link to the FB group.
We have monthly challenges, this month is Mini Albums
and monthly Blog Hops too this month it is a Masculine theme

ESAD 2018 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to ESAD Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop.
So excited to present Frosted Floral from the 'New' Holiday Catalogue.

You will be inspired by 26 talented designers in this hop...
We are all members of the ESAD group,
we LOVE sharing our creations with you all...
You may be starting with me or have just left Amity Knight blog.
I am sure that Amity has created a beautiful project <3

The catalogue has over 50 pages of inspiration, it went LIVE on the 5th.
All products are available until 2 Jan 2019 or until stock sold out.
This product suite is my favourite from the whole catalogue.

I needed a Wedding Card for this weekend, so last minute Nelly here
decided that she best create one on the day that she should be packing...
Turns out I couldn't really do much today, we got some rain
so it was a great excuse to create!!!

In the catalogue on pg 37 they have co-ordinating cardstock of
Blackberry Bliss, Gray Granite and Tranquil Tide...So pretty.
So I decided to use Balmy Blue as this was the Bridesmaids dress colour.
I do love what I created with these colours...

I used the Stamparatus to create my background of the card...
This tool allows you to position your stamp, add your ink and then stamp
Then move your plate with the stamp along the hinges to create a pattern without
having to reposition your stamp everytime... It is such a time saver.

Then I cut myself out the same shapes I stamped and created another layer
over to top of the stamped area...I created a template so that I could
position the diecut and stamp with making any whoopsie's.

I also used my Take Your Pick Multipurpose Tool to lift out my stamped diecuts.
This tool comes with a putty ended pick up tool, to add your sequins to your card.

AND you can buy refills for your putty end too.
This tool also comes with a mini spatula - paper piercer - small and large stylus..
Such a versatile tool!!!

I stamped and die cut flowers, leaves to add to my card front.
Love it that Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies come with 2 small floral dies
saves you time when you can cut many flowers at the same time.

In this photo you can see how I created the background of the card with the
precision of alignment from the Stamparatus...
Have I told you I LOVE this tool

I don't think you can see in the Wishing you ALL THE BEST,
I shadow stamped with Gray Granite and 2nd generation Blackberry Bliss.
So here is a closer look...I used the Stamparatus again to make sure it was PERFECT.
I just moved the cardstock ever so slightly, so you could see the shadow.

I had fun creating this card, I hope you liked it too <3
Thank you for visiting my blog <3
