This week we have a sketch to use as our inspiration.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the team have created here

I chose to use Magic In The Night DSP which is in the BRAND NEW Aug-Dec 2020 Mini
This product is released for sale on Aug 4 to customers all around the world,
BUT as a Benefit of being a Demonstrator we got to pre-order it a month earlier.

Magic In The Night DSP is a Halloween inspired watercolour designs and florals.
With spiders, spiders webs,
bats as well as TRULY Beautiful rose designs on the paper.
I am NOT usually attracted to Halloween ANYTHING...BUT I Love this DSP.

So as soon as I saw the design I knew that I had to use this DSP.
Little bits of fussy cutting of the spider web DSP and some of the black water colour roses
and multi coloured floral designs from the DSP.
I added a lil bit of Black Glitter Paper this and lil bit of
Iridescent Pearls and Metallic Mesh Ribbon from The Magic In The Night Suite.

I used Black Glitter Paper for the 3 lil spiders, these were die cut from
the Little Treat Box Dies which has all occasion dies
like the Spiders, Santa Hat, Christmas Baubles,
Present and Engagement ring.

Ink & Share Blog Hop July - Travel

Welcome to Ink and Share Scrapbook Blog Hop, this month we are focusing on
the use of Punches from Stampin' Up! Catalogue for use on Scrapbooking pages.
With the Aug- Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue due to go LIVE on Aug 4 I thought
I would FOCUS on Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack...
This product was in last year's Mini and I LOVE them so much...
You may have just joined me from Sue McDonald's Blog
or you are starting the Blog Hop with me...

This is a quick and easy layout to construct once you have punched out all the elements
40 Small Punched ornaments (double side DSP)
11 Sprig Punch
Fussy Cutting of Holly leaves
4" x 6" Night of Navy Photo Mat
and then a Smaller Photo Mat 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" out of Star DSP.
Merry Christmas out of Copper Foil Sheets

Firstly I drew a circle on my page with a large dinner plate with a pencil
Then I stamped the largest matching stamp all around the circle

Next I divided up the Blue/Copper Foil DSP and the Stripey DSP
I scored them up the middle so that I could fold them in half.
Then I started arranging around the circle with the Blue/Copper Foil DSP first
the went back and added the Stripey DSP with some dimensionals
in between all the Blue/Copper Foil ornaments...

Next I added all the Foil Holly Leaves on the Stripey DSP Ornaments
Now to add a Photo Mat and Photo Mat Layer
Then I constructed the spray of Sprig Leaves and Foil Holly Leaves
over the edge of the photo mats.
I only used Glue Dots and Mini Stampin' Dimensional on the very outer edges
So we could STILL slip a photo in under all the Sprig Leaves.
Finally I added the Merry Christmas words from Word Wishes Dies

This layout will be GREAT for a Christmas Tree photo or all the family unwrapping gifts.
Perfect to go inside a Shadow Box Frame.
The Wreath was so easy to construct... I am sure that you could choose any of the
Beautiful designs from the soon to be re-released Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP.

The Spot - #120 Christmas In July Challenge

Welcome to The Spot for Inspiration and Weekly Cardmaking Challenges
Every Tuesday we have a completely new challenge for you.

The

there are 13 of us in total and we all LOVE creating.
So to be given a weekly challenge it allows us to dig into our creative side.

This week The Spot - #120 Christmas In July Challenge

Can you believe that in just 4 days it will be 5 months until Christmas
Where has this year gone...DOWN the Covid-19 drain!!!

Well that being said I have created my very first card for Christmas 2020.
I am off to a great start. Let's hope they get posted this year LOL.
Do you post Christmas Cards or just hand deliver them?
I have all good intentions BUT usually I forget to post them off...

This card is very simple...
Last year I almost brought Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.
BUT I didn't so a friend loan me her papers so I could use these...
I have ordered them now that they are BACK in the catalogue!!
So that is what I am using for my card.
Stamps, Ink and Paper plus a couple of embellies

I chose the Christmas Tree DSP cut to 10cm x 14.3cm
Then I die cut the middle of DSP with a Stitched Rectangle Die 5 1/2cm x 9cm
Next I die cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock  with the Stitched Rectangle Die
7 1/2cm x 11cm
I used 'O Christmas Tree' stamp with Old Olive Classic Stampin Pad
and stamped over the background with the words in
a random straight line pattern.

Now that the Soft Sea Foam cardstock is stamped all over with Old Olive words
Add Dimensionals to the piece of Christmas Tree DSP that you cut with the
Sm Stitched Rectangle
Die 5 1/2cm x 9cm
Adhere that to the stamped word background centering it.

Next I added the Gold Hoops from the Forever Fern Suite
I adhered it with 4 rolled up glue dots to stick it to the card.
Then I added some of the Old Olive ribbon from Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo pack

Then I added the Largest Christmas Tree sticker on top of the Gold Hoops
Then I took the Middle sized Christmas Tree, added Dimensional to it
and stuck it on top of the other tree.

Then I stamped 'O Christmas Tree' on the Banner Sticker and stuck it to the Hoop.
Added an insert of Soft Sea Foam and Stamped a tree and a sentiment inside.

I would LOVE for you to join us weekly and create some cards/project or Scrapbooking.
Please join us and have FUN with this Christmas In July and be sure to link up
here

Until next week, Keep on creating and sharing your creations here

Thank you for visiting my blog, I do hope that you were inspired by my card.

Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Blog Hop - Monochromatic

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! July Blog Hop.
We have a full line up this month with 18 participants
If you are a Scrapbooker you need to POP over to our FB page
and join us for all things inspirational in relation to Scrapbooking, Memory Keeping.
We have an AMAZING Design Team of 7 from all around the world.
Creative Design Team member Maï Chapelain is in charge
of choosing the theme for this month's Blog Hop

https://mesmainslontfee.com/?p=6459

AND what a theme she has chosen Monochromatic...
What is Monochromatic theme you ask

Monochromatic schemes use different tones from the same angle on the color wheel (the same hue). Monochromatic color schemes are guaranteed to suit each other because they all come from the same family.

You may have joined me from Sara Levin's Blog,
Sara plays a HUGE part in the running of this Blog Hop.
Every month she sets up the InLinkz so we can all join in the fun.
So Thank you Sara <3 I appreciate all that you do for US all <3

So I chosen to use all the greys in our Neutrals Collection Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Gray Granite.
I chose to use these colours with Peony Garden DSP...
You may be wondering what you can see in that photo above
well it is a technique that I have been wanting to try for quite some time...
Painters Tape Technique...
So you need some low tack painters tape and you need Ink pads
I tore off some painters tape and added it across the whole ink pad
And then I added the colours to my layout...
Starting with the darkest to lightest just overlapping slightly.
Very happy with the texture it creates.

Then I used the vine from Very Versailles with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad
And I stamped 3 different vines over the top of each other,
moving the stamp up and down.

Then I used the script from Very Versailles and used Smoky Slate Classic Stap Pad
and kept adding layers beside the next one
and then added some more below that too....

Not exactly as you had planned in your head...Here is what I was working with.I thought that I would use the Good Morning Magnolia with this layout...
BUT some times what you think of creating doesn't quite work out,
I tried painters tape technique on the Magnolia BUT didn't like it
So I will use that on something else.

After I took this photo I added some more stamped elements from Very Versailles stamp.
On to fussy cutting Peonies from Peonie Garden DSP, which I absolutely LOVE!!!
I don't own the stamp set yet so I decided that I would just cut out a heap of blooms.
OHHH My Goodness this DSP is just AHHHMAZING!!!

Such Beautiful hand drawn blooms!!!

Anyways it is just up to cutting and placing which I found so
calming to create a blank page into a masterpiece...

I also added another photo mat layer of Basic Gray Cardstock underneath
this piece of In Good Taste DSP and like always I cut away the excess
not to waste all that Beautiful DSP.
I die cut out some extra foliage to add underneath the flowers.

Now to place all these flowers, the first thing I do is take a photo so that I
know where they all sit so that once I start to stick them with Tombow Glue
or Dimensionals that I am placing them almost exactly where they were.

Here is the finished layout with all the texture and depth of the reality of
real Peonies...So very happy with my Monochromatic layout.
I hadn't chosen a photo for this layout until it was finished...
Sooo happy that this photo of my Daughter and Son-In-Law cutting their carke
worked so well with the finished layout!!! Perfect colours too <3

Thank you for joining us on the Blog Hop, I do hope that you will
give a Monochromatic layout a red hot shot...
I just love that all the stamps and inks worked so well together.
Up next is Delys Cram with her AWESOME creation...

If for some reason the Next Button doesn't work, please follow along with the list below.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I do hope that you were inspired by my creation.

The Spot - #119 Colour Challenge

https://www.thespotcreativechallenge.com/2020/07/challenge-119.html?

Welcome to The Spot for Inspiration and Weekly Cardmaking Challenges
Every Tuesday we have a completely new challenge for you.

The Design Team Members are Stampin' Up! Demos from around the globe,
there are 13 of us in total and we all LOVE creating.
So to be given a weekly challenge it allows us to dig into our creative side.
This week is a Colour Combo of Magenta Madness, Black, Gold and Pool Party.
Such a Gorgeous combination!!!

 https://www.thespotcreativechallenge.com/2020/07/challenge-119.html?

As soon as I saw the colour combination I was IN LOVE!!!!
I hadn't inked up To A Wild Rose before this day, so I figured that was the sign!!
The flower from this set is so Big and Bold it needed to be the Magenta Madness.

So I decided for the Gold that I was going to use Gold Embossing Powder
and then stamp the solid stamped images with a mixture
of 1st and 2nd generation Magenta Madness ink...

Ink your Stamp image up with Versamark, it is hard to see on Whisper White
BUT you need to use this ink to add embossing powder to it so it sticks.

Then we added the Gold Embossing Powder to the Versamark inked image

If you are NEW to stamping you may have not heard the term 1st and 2nd generation ink.
Let me explain exactly what that is...
So when you first ink up you Stamp into your Classic Stampin Pad and stamp directly
onto your cardstock this is called 1st generation stamping.
So to now do 2nd generation stamping it is using the ink that remains on the stamp
and stamping onto your cardstock (without re-inking the stamp into the ink)
this gives you a softer tone of the colours that you have used.

So To A Wild Rose is a 3 Step Stamp (photopolymer stamp set)
You can stamp them in a couple of different ways BUT
I find the way that I do it, I get the best results...
Because I am heat embossing with Gold Embossing Powder, I chose to stamp the outline
Then heat set the embossing powder, then I add my solid images...
These 3 floral stamps all layer directly over the top of each other.
Seen here in these photos. Sorry Phone photos just don't cut it...
I apologise.

Here is the finished flower

Once the flowers are all stamped and die cut, I then stamped and die cut the leaves.
Now it is time to put the card together...

I have used Sharon Armstong's Fun Fold before as it makes a quick and easy card.
I call it a hinged panel card...

My card is Basic Black.
You fold your card in half like a normal card then from the centre fold you
add a score line 1 1/4" in from there and crease you card...
This panel now gets adhered to your card and you only have the remaining part
of the card that opens.

I decorated the adhered Black 1 1/4" panel with Whisper White 1 1/8" x 4"
and Pool Party almost 1" x 3 7/8" which
I embossed with
Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.

Now onto decorating the front of the Basic Black card.
Cut 2 Whisper White Cardstock to 4 3/8" x 4", 1 for the front and 1 for inside panel.

Arrange your die cut Flowers and Leaves around your card until you are happy.
I adhered 2 Flowers and all the leaves with Tombow Multi purpose glue
then I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of my last flower to give the card
some depth and dimension.

Next I added some Gold Thread from Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack
to my card and tied a bow on the front...
Next I added Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the front panel to finish it off.

Now for the inside panel, use 2nd piece of Whisper White Cardstock
we must NEVER leave the inside of our card naked LOL
OR the envelope either...
Using the Leaf stamp and Pool Party I added a leaf to the inside panel.

Kre8tors Tropical Nights Blog Hop Colour Challenge

Welcome to Kre8tors Tropical Nights July Blog Hop, I initially thought I would
create something a bit tropical BUT I opted out of that...
I needed a quick project so a Scrapbook layout it was for me....
Only this one doesn't have a title yet as I don't know what photos I am putting on it!

You may have joined me from Janey Baker's Blog

Such a cool Colour Challenge with Basic Black, Basic Gray, Rococo Rose
Night of Navy and So Saffron... Only colour I didn't use is Basic Black.

I chose to use Tasteful Touches Bundle Stamp Set and Dies
which is 10% cheaper when you purchase it together....
I used the Flower and Feather Stamp and then I used the Banner Die

I have replicated the flowers that I made for my Scrappin' On The Go! PDF Tutorial.
I stamped them on In Good Taste DSP with Night Of Navy Ink
Then I mixed some embossing paste and So Saffron Re-Inker and
added some to centre of the flowers.
Then I added some foliage that I had previously stamped BUT didn't use
it on the last layout so I decided to use it on this layout...

I used Basic Gray Ink (2nd generation) for the feathers on the Rococo Rose Cardstock.
I also used Basic Gray full strength on the 2 feathers on the corner of my photo mat.

I had fun creating this layout, it came together really quickly.
I normally create a scrapbook layout with the photos I am going to put on it!!!
BUT this one I have NO CLUE which photos I am going to add later on.
I also added a journalling tag which I don't normally journal on my layouts...
SOOOO I believe this is going to be a very special photo...
Here is a close up of the LHS panel using In Good Taste Designer Series paper

and those feathers

Here is the FULL Layout...

Thank you for reading my Blog, I hope you liked my layout.
Up next is Ann Krucek, I cannot wait to see what Ann has created
for this Colour Challenge...

Thank you for visiting my blog, I do hope that you were inspired by my creation.
