Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop - February LOVE

Welcome to  February Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop with our theme being Love.
Most people associate Feb 14 with LOVE but I celebrate LOVE all the time,
anytime of the year - any moment that arises that I feel LOVE.

So this Scrapbook layout was created as a second page to go with this layout
You may be starting the Blog Hop with me - Shaz from Queensland Australia.
We have 8 talented Scrapbookers from all over the world here today to show you
what LOVE means to them... Unfortunately for me today I haven't printed the photos.
I am sure that if you joined me from Cheryl Taylor Blog she will have an AMAZING layout to share with you

I used products from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue Jan-June 2020
I am featuring the LOVE suite in the catalogue - From My Heart Suite

https://www3.stampinup.com/ecweb/product/151189/from-my-heart-specialty-designer-series-paper

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Red and Pink Foil accented Designer Series Paper,
Heartfelt Bundle, From My Heart Faceted Gems and Detailed Hearts Die
As well as products from the Annual Catalogue

I found the sketch from a group
that I set up exclusively for scrapbooking with
Stampin' Up! products.
Check it out here Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up!
Every month we have a Challenge to inspire you, this month it is a sketch to create a layout

Delys Cram used a Page Maps Sketch this month.

So because I had already created a layout with these products before I thought
why not do the 2nd page to match it, so this sketch came to life...AND I Love it!!
I find it so much easier to create a layout if I have a sketch to go by, how about you?

Using all products that co-ordinate together takes away the guessing game...
Makes it go together without too much second guessing yourself.
So many heart elements in this corner...I chose to use Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
to create the journalling tag created with the Detailed Tag Topper Punch from the
Annual Catalogue and I couldn't find the matching Real Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon for the tag pull so I used the beautiful Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon
Aren't these products so beautiful? I took a lil while to be convinced with these products
as I already had lots of heart papers and punches BUT apparently I needed more LOL

So here is the finished layout minus the photos of my husband and myself
I have to get them from my Best Friend whose Wedding I was a part of...

two years ago...Whoopsie

Here is the matching layouts side by side <3
Do you create layouts that match each other? I seem to do it a lot...

I used some of the same products from the first layout, like the
Swirly Frames Stamp Set and Stitched Be Mine Dies

Up next is Sue McDonald  from the UK, with her Scrapbook layout for the LOVE theme.

Scrapbooking Global - February Blog Hop - Sketch

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! February Blog Hop,
Shaz here - I am Creative Designer this month.
I chose a sketch as inspiration for the theme of this Blog Hop.
I always find scrapbooking so much easier if I have a sketch to follow.
Fellow Creative Design team member Courtenay created the sketch for me from
one that I had seen on Pinterest...Thanks Courtenay <3

Do you know that Scrapbooking Global has it's very own Pinterest Board

You may have just come from Delys Cram's Blog  Or you are just starting the Hop with me, I have a few little tricks up my sleeve for this sketch today. I just LOVE how our
products can be used in more ways than the one that they were designed for.
I apologise for the VERY WORDY and heavy Photo Loaded Blog post...

We have 18 talented Stampin' Up! Demos from around the world joining us today...
Sooo much inspiration, use the sketch below to create your own layout...

I started by creating my layout on a piece of 12x12 Whisper White cardstock,
as soon as I hit it with the watercolour background I didn't like it.

SOOO that ended up in the bin..So I grabbed a piece of 12x12 Watercolour paper from my stash (Non Stampin' Up! unfortunately) and proceeded to create my new background...
I don't know about you BUT I tend to follow the sketches very closely, can you see the
watercoloured background in the sketch? Did you include it or NOT?

How I created my watercolour background is I add Night of Navy Classic Stampin Pad  to a large block and then spritz it until I am happy with how wet it is and then I spritz my cardstock and use a large brush to lay the colour over the general area I want to watercolour look.  I keep blending water to the areas that I want lighter, remembering though as it dries it becomes lighter. Where you can see the darker spots that is almost full strength colour.  Next I grabbed my brush and filled it with ink and then set about to splatter my page.   I am very happy with my background,
it is a little larger than I hoped BUT it will work.  Using the Heat tool I dried off the moisture and your layout will become all lumpy bumpy now, so when the layout is complete I add a layer of our backing cardboard from the DSP.

Next I added some script font from Parisan Beauty Cling Stamp using Gray Granite Classic Stampin' Pad.  I did draw myself some guidelines using the pencil marks I was able to line up the font which can be quite tricky with a red rubber stamp so that I could try to make it straight on my layout...

Next I spritzed Frost White Shimmer Paint all over the top half of the layout through a stencil I created with the Stitched Lace Die...It is a very intricate die so you can't really see the design here.

Next I created a border with our Delightful Tag Topper Punch,
I can hear you asking me BUT how???
I simply cut a strip of DSP 2" wide and slid it through the side of the punch rather than where you make the individual tags. Then I just punch one tag shape, moved it along then punched another and so on and so forth...
I love it when we can find alternative ways to use our Stampin' Up! products.

Next I added a thin strip of our Perennial Essence 12 x 12 Vellum Cardstock
over the top of the B&W DSP then I added some of the co-ordinating
Braided Burlap Trim from the Tropical Oasis Suite.

Then I started building up my photo and mats, I do not like wasting cardstock or DSP...
I used Tropical Oasis DSP And FREE Honey Bee DSP
So I just run it through the bigshot and cut out some shapes with our dies.
Also because the base of my layout has been wet, it is all out of shape when it dries.
I like to add a cardboard base to my photo just to give it a bit more stability.

I created a little pocket for another photo from this photoshoot

I decided that I needed some texture on my punched Story Label
piece of DSP so I ran the Brown hessian kinda DSP through the Coastal Weave 3D  Embossing Folder which gave it this beautiful texture!!!

I used the leftover flowers from this card that I created for this Blog Hop
Here is how I created the flowers and leaves

Watercoloured Background is my choice, with white heat embossed images
over the background.
  Products used the Watercolour Paper,
Stampin' Refills and Stampin' Spritzer to

create the backgrounds for my hibiscus and frangipani.
I used the following colours - Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove,
So Saffron and Real Red Stampin Refills.

To recreate my background for my flowers I firstly stamped each individual floral
image onto the Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper with Versamark and then added the White Embossing Powder and used my Heat gun to heat set it...Did this all over my paper.
Using this technique it allows the ink to pool around the heat set image.
Once all the images were on my background I randomly added watered down spots
of ink all over the paper and wet it with a spritzer and watched the magic happen.
Use your heat gun to dry this off and then Die cut your floral images...

Here is the end result, pretty hey.  So much variation in colour.

The leaf background was watercoloured too,  except I didn't heat emboss
I just inked up the stamp with a couple of the colours and then spritzed it very lightly and
stamped it on the background.  The leaf background was created using Soft Sea Foam,
Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party.

Here is what it looked like at the end, then I just die cut the leaves

Well here is the finished layout, I had so much fun creating this layout...
I hope you enjoyed the processes of creating this for Feb Sketch Blog Hop.

Here is the extra photo from the Photoshoot, it is hidden behind the large photo

Up next is Maï Chapelain  with her Beautiful Poppies layout, I just had to have a sneak
peak at what she created before posting my layout...

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop- Feb 2020 - Valentine's Day

Welcome to Stampin' Dreams February Blog Hop - Valentine's Day
Our brief was make it all about LOVE!!!
I cannot wait to see what everyone has created <3
You may started with me or have just joined me from Jan's Blog

So I scrapped a photo of my AMAZING Husband and I celebrating our 28th Wedding Anniversary at our Best Friends Wedding 2 yrs ago now...
I am not that into Valentine's Day if the truth be told.   BUT I do believe in a good Love Story...

Ours began a very long time ago when I was almost 15 (I am now 52),
Barry was almost 18 and as they say the rest is history <3

We have had an AMAZING life together and 2 Beautiful Children (now adults)
We spend all of our time together, creating memories together...
YES, Marriage is not always a bed of roses
BUT we NEVER EVER go to bed angry at each other.

We talk it out and we sort our problems out before they become HUGE issues...
Marriage is about giving and taking and compromises...
BUT MOST OF ALL IT IS ABOUT LOVE!!!

So I started with a BRAND NEW product from the Mini Jan-June Catalogue
From My Heart Suite this was the basis of my Scrapbooking Layout...
These products were NOT on my to buy list BUT the more and more
I seen created with these I knew that I needed them to play with.

So I used the Matching DSP and Heartfelt Bundle with the punches
to create my background.  These papers have red and pink foil on them and they are
just PERFECT for Valentine's Day.
Then I thought that I would add in some circular frames from the Swirly Frames Stamp Set.  I still wasn't completely happy with my layout so I then grabbed
my Stitched Be Mine Framelits...  This is looking more and more like it!!!
BUT I still felt like there was something missing so I then grabbed from the Mini Catalogue
the Detailed Hearts Die to add another dimension to the layout....

Next I added some of the stamped words inside the circles and then added some of the matching From My Heart Faceted Gems.

Lastly I added some hand written words to the layout...

Well I thought I was finished BUT I felt like it just needed some more hearts from the Detailed Hearts die scattered around the layout....

Hope you liked my project for Valentine's Day,
Up next is Karen Farquhar with her Very CUTE Valentine's Day card

Colour Combo Blog Hop February 2020

Welcome to Colour Combo Blog Hop, Shaz here - You may have joined me from Melinda's Blog. It's been quite some time since I last joined in with Colour Combo Blog Hop
So I was looking for a challenge and that is exactly what I got...
As much as I love to Scrapbook, I started making a layout BUT it looked SHIT!!!
So it is sitting in a pile of scrapbooking layouts that need to be finished.

So I decided I better do a card for this challenge...
I used the Heart to Heart Stamp Set from the Mini Catalogue..
Kept it pretty simple...

Stamp and Hop Blog Hop February 2020 Colouring

Welcome to Stamp 'N Hop - February Colouring Blog Hop....
You may have arrived from Sandra's Blog or you are starting with me.
The brief was use any Stamp set/Bundle with any colouring technique...
So I chose this Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper (DSP) as my colour palette.
Isn't it just Beautiful <3
 https://www3.stampinup.com/ecweb/product/151252/tropical-oasis-designer-series-paper

AND I used the co-ordinating Timeless Tropical Bundle.
I am in LOVE with this suite!!!

Watercoloured Background is my choice, with white heat embossed images
over the background.
  Products used the Watercolour Paper,
Stampin' Refills and Stampin' Spritzer to

create the backgrounds for my hibiscus and frangipani.
I used the following colours - Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove,

of ink all over the paper and wet it with a spritzer and watched the magic happen.

Here is what it looked like at the end, then I just die cut the leaves

Once all my images were cut out I decided that I needed some texture on my background
piece of DSP so I ran the Brown hessian kinda DSP through the Coastal Weave 3D  Embossing Folder which gave it this beautiful texture!!!

I had to then add some more of the DSP to the card base.
So I chose some of the green foliage DSP...Sooo Beautiful.
I added some of the green as well from the DSP too!!
The green background Dies are from the Tropical Dies

I hope you LOVE my project, I hope you do too!!!
If you LOVE all these products that I have used you can buy the Tropical Oasis Suite Bundle with everything from the Suite in it!!!
