Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! - June Blog Hop "Brand New"

Sneak Peak

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! June Blog Hop
Today is the day that we get to showcase our Brand New 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue
This Month it is Shaz - that's Me!!
I am the lucky Design Team Member who got to choose this theme for this month...

My first assumptions was the Brand New Catalogue products BUT it can be anything Brand New - Car, Shoes, Baby...A Brand New technique that you want to try out....
It can be anything...Looking forward to see what everyone created.

AND Truth being told... I completely FORGOT that today was Blog Hop day...
It wasn't until the reminder came up on my phone that I remember at 1.30pm.
SOOOO I had to use a layout that I have just finished creating for my
Scrappin' On The GO! PDF Tutorials(see here for the Tutorials),
so now I will have to create another layout for that...

My first purchase during Pre-order was the In Good Taste Suite...
PG 122of the Brand New Annual Catalogue, I just love all the texture that this suite has.
I fell in LOVE with the In Good Taste DSP, and this is what I used for my layout.
So many Beautiful Patterns and Textures in this DSP pack, You receive 2 pieces of
all patterns shown...

I also used the Tasteful Touches Bundle which has Stamp n Dies seen here below.

I chose 1 piece of DSP which was Gray on one side and Tiles on the other side
BUT used both sides of it as well as a piece of 12x12 Misty Moonlight Cardstock
I cut 2 strips off of it, and flipped one side then tore a strip off the DSP to reveal a torn edge. Then moved them apart and stuck them onto the cardstock.
I used the Misty Moonlight Stamp Pad with the border stamp to add texture
to the Gray/Tiled DSP.

I have added some stamped feathers to the bottom of the torn pieces,
these were stamped with stamped off Misty Moonlight (2nd generation stamping)
and Gray Granite for the other feather

I am known for being savvy with my cardstock and DSP cutting pieces away from the
back of any of my layouts might look something like this so that I can use those papers
on the rest of the layout...You will not see this once it is in my album.

So the piece that I cut away from the gray/tiled piece I used on the layout as my Photo Mat
I combined that with the large piece of Misty Moonlight that you can also seen cut away
here as another Photo Mat

Using the Brand NEW Old World 3D Embossing Folder on the gray/tiled DSP,
you can see how it gives so much texture this piece of DSP now has.
I continued with the torn theme and scratched up the edges of the photo mat...
You can do this with your fingers, pair of scissors or a distressing tool.

Here is the completed layout, still got to add a photo SO
you won't see the gap in the Gray DSP in the background mat.
Using one of the many Tasteful Labels Dies I added a sentiment from the stamp set
The good things in LIFE ARE BETTER WITH you <3
I also used the small banner label die to create a double banner for YOU ARE THE BEST!

Thank you I do hope that my layout inspires you to create with these products
or something else that the rest of the Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Hoppers
have used for their layouts...

Up next is Courtenay Heuston who has created the most Beautiful layout with another Brand New product.
