Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! April 21 - Blog Hop - Vellum

 Sneak Peak

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for the month of April.
This month we are featuring Vellum as the theme of the Hop.
Sharni Haines has chosen our theme and I am sure that she will come up with a use
of Vellum that we have not even thought of...
Sharni is one of the Creative Design Team Member who lives in Adelaide, Australia.

We have Demonstrators through-out the world who take part in our hops every month.
There are 10 of us showcasing how we used Vellum in our Scrapbook layouts.
If you would LOVE to join us, here is the link for the FB group and all the info for Hops
are added around the 3rd day of the month. We hop the 3rd Thurs of the month.

You may have joined me from Rae Jean's Blog or you are starting the Hop with me

As soon as this theme was announced I knew that I wanted to create
Vellum flowers using the retiring 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum.
As well as Flowers of Friendship Bundle which includes the stamp and punch.

To create the punched flower blooms (I created over 60 blooms)
I had so much FUN creating all the flowers for my layout with
White Embossing powder and the Shimmer Vellum...
This product is so easy to use, Stamp the flowers in VersaMark and then add
White Embossing Powder, shake off the excess and heat with Heat Gun.
I only used 3 of the colours to create my flowers,
Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink.
I created over 50 blooms for this layout...which I punched using the co-ordinating
Flowers and Leaves punch which has carried over into the 2022-2023 Annual Catty.

There is not much really to this layout, lots of strips of papers to create the panel.
Very little stamping on the actual layout, as I let the stamped flowers shine.
The base page is from the HOSTESS set - Pattern Party DSP
The Calypso Coral DSP is from Artfully Composed DSP, 2 strips 12" x 3/4",
which I cut up some of the Square Vellum Doilies and added as an accent.
Pale Papaya layer is from Artfully Composed DSP 12"x 3 1/2",
which I stamped the
border stamp from Flowers of Friendship with Calypso Coral ink.
Black & White spots is from Pattern Party DSP 12" x 1/2"
(die-cut with a BRAND NEW product from 2022-2023 Catty-Blossoming Happiness Dies)
Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum 12" x 1"
Fresh Freesia Cardstock 4 1/2" x 3/4"

I also added a card base from Abstract Beauty Card & Envelopes to create a pocket
for some hidden journalling or an extra photo.
I used
6" x 6" DSP from the  2021-2023 In-color for my insert in the pocket.
AND I created a folding photo mat for extra photos inside too.
For this I used something that I had in my stash BUT the measurements are as follows
Fresh Freesia photo mat 5 3/4" x 4 1/2"
Polished Pink photo mat 4" x 4"
then the under mat with the hinge was a leftover bit in my stash is 5 3/4" x 4"
with
2021-2023 In-color DSP which you can add extra photos

I used the TAB products from the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack to add
to my hidden journalling pieces and also the HEART

Once the panel was in the right place I added 2 different sized punched flowers
in a cluster of double and single blooms in 2 different positions on the layout.
Then I punched lots of large and small leaves out of the Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum
and added them throughout the flowers, then
Gold Vellum printed leaves.
I just kept adding flowers and leaves until I thought it was full enough.
Then I finished off the centres of the flowers with the Gold Gilded Gems

The Title of the page is Love You More Than Cookies...Is from Love You More Than Dies.
I think I will use photos of my 2 regular lil stars my cousin's 2 daughters.
Sorry my printer has run out of ink so I will post the
photos here of what I will put on my layout when I print them in town today.

Bron's 60th Birthday Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to Bron's 60th Birthday Blog Hop and Insta Hop.
Bronwyn Eastley will be turning the BIG 60 this year.
There will be 6 Blog Hops over the coming 6 months all with different themes.

Tonight we kick-off the Blog Hop with our project inspired from the above picture.
Bronwyn has asked a few of her Stamping friends to join her virtually to help her
celebrate such a HUGE milestone later on in the year.

I decided this morning that I was creating a Scrapbooking Layout for this Hop,
BUT my plan quickly changed once I got out a few products to play with.
I was going to use the
Celebrate Today Magnet Board
to create a Mood board for my Studio Shabaz.
After playing for some time I realised that I needed to simplify my ideas...

So still using products from the
Celebrate Today Magnet Board
I created my very own lil envelope like is in the kit with Very Vanilla A4 Cardstock
So I traced around it and then carefully cut it out...

Next I used a retired product
Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder
which has basket weave like on the bag, so I ran the Very Vanilla envelope
folded in half through the embossing folder in the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
This became my handbag from this envelope design.

Well a handbag needs handles right?
So I dragged out another retired product
Braided Burlap Trim
to which I used for the handles of the envelope bag 😏

I needed to decorate SAID envelope bag, so again diving into my STASH!!
Who has a STASH of products?
Well I do.
I have so many products tucked away in a cupboard waiting to be used...
So this time I used
Striped Burlap Trim across the front my envelope stuck
adhered down with
Tear & Tape Adhesive
Next I added Petal Pink ribbon from Cotton Ribbon Combo Pack
on top of the Striped Burlap Trim.
This bag could be used to add a gift card or some Birthday cash.

Using a card from the Celebrate Today Magnet Board,
I fussy cut some daisy blooms for the front of my envelope bag.
Then I used
Petal Pink Classic Stampin Pad and a Blending Brush
to add colour to the image to give it some dimension.
All the flowers are glued into place with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Then I added some
Elegant Faceted Gems to the front of the Bag.
I also used Sponge Daubers with Crumb Cake Classic Stampin Pad to add
some colour around the edge of the
Envelope Bag.

Now onto the card that I created for inside the bag.
Card measures 5 1/4 x  3 1/2 - cut from

Very Vanilla A4 Cardstock
I once again use the
Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder to add
texture and dimension to the card front.
I also used Sponge Daubers with
Crumb Cake Classic Stampin Pad to add
some colour around the edge of the card. Just to bring in the brown colour
from the Coconuts in the picture.

Now in the photo there is a blanket inside the bag so I used
White Frayed Ribbon
and pulled away some of the thread to make a fringe to replicate
the fringing on the blanket.
Next I added some of the White washed board to the front of the card,
I cut this out of the
Heart & Home 12x12 DSP
I also added some more of the
Striped Burlap Trim across the front my card
Next I added Petal Pink ribbon from Cotton Ribbon Combo Pack
on top of the Striped Burlap Trim with Tear & Tape Adhesive .

In the Celebrate Today Magnet Board there are stickers so you can decorate your board.
I used "Celebrate Today" sticker sheet on the front of my card.
Next I
fussy cut some daisy blooms from the card from before
Then I used Petal Pink Classic Stampin Pad and a Blending Brush
to add colour to the image to give it some dimension.

All the flowers are glued into place with
Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Then I added some Elegant Faceted Gems to the front of the card.

Seen as though we are celebrating Bron's 60th I decided to add a 60 on the inside of the card.
These numbers were die-cut with
Playful Alphabet on the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
from Petal Pink Cardstock with some
Foam Adhesive Sheets to give them dimension.
Next I cut some more of the daisy blooms for the inside and once again I used the
Petal Pink Classic Stampin Pad and a Blending Brush.
All the flowers are glued into place with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I added a quick sentiment in Crumb Cake Classic Stampin Pad
"Just for You" from
Ranunculus Romance Cling Stamp Set.
Finishing off by adding another Elegant Faceted Gems to the inside of the card.

Lastly as this was not a normal sized card I needed to make
a custom sized envelope for the bag and card.
I pulled out the retired
Envelope Punch Board and measured my card
to work out which size cardstock I would need to make an envelope.
I needed 9"x 9" piece of  Very Vanilla 12x12 Cardstock to create my envelope.

Next I ran each of the panels of the envelope through
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder
to continue the theme through to finish off decorating it.
Then I stuck the envelope together with
Tear & Tape Adhesive.
On the front of the envelope I stamped "Happy Birthday" and "To You"
with
Crumb Cake Classic Stampin Pad from the retired set
Happy Birthday To You.

I hope that you enjoyed my project and feel inspired to create one for yourself.
Thank you for following along with Bron's 60th BirthdayBlog Hop,
I am loving all of the creations from the super talented fellow designers.
Up next is Bronwyn with her creative design.
