October Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrapbook Sunday's Travel/Adventure Blog Hop.
There are 7 fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators hopping with me today.
You may have just joined me from Colleen Johnson's Blog
or starting with me...

I do love this theme!!! Travel and Adventure goes hand in hand.
I created my layout with multiple photos from our
trip to South Australia 2yrs ago for a friend's Wedding.

I used Best Route Memories and More Card Pack for my layout.
In this pack you will find 50 double sided cards - 25 designs.
6 single sided lightly embossed speciality card and 4 sticker sheets.
These can be used for Scrapbooking, Memories and More pocket pages
or you can use them to create cards.

I also used a small strip of matching paper from the Best Route DSP.
All the elements were cut simply from the front and backs of the cards.
I also used Maps Etc Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on Mango Melody CS.

I do hope that you liked my layout and are inspired to use
the Memories and More card packs in your scrapbooking or cardmaking...

Thanks for hopping with me.

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop October

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1204438373008307/

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global October Blog Hop with the theme being Celebrate...
Sara Levin is our Designer for the month.
Along with our WONDERFUL Design Team there are 7 of our
Scrapbooking Global members who have decided to join the hop
and create a layout to suit the theme.

You may have just come from Delys Blog, didn't she have an AWESOME layout.
I have been actually struggling to scrapbook at the moment, so I actually
combined both the Hop theme and the Tic Tac Toe Challenge Theme

I am happy with my layout, using Tropical Chic die cuts and
different coloured Spritzers to create my background.

Once I done this and waited for it to dry I could
add the leaves and flowers back onto the layout and bring it to life.
I used the Black Foil Sheets from the Holiday catalogue to create my titles.
As well as my hidden journalling tag that you can see in the next photo.

This is the only trouble when you spritzed the background of your layout,
it becomes all distorted out of shape...
Once in the album it will flattern out.

Thanks for joining me and please follow the next button to
Stesha Bloodhart and the other Blog Hop participants.

Kre8tors Blog Hop - Autumn Colour Challenge

Welcome to my very first Kre8tors Blog Hop
My name is Sharon Dalton and I live in Queensland Australia

24 Demonstrators from all over the globe
create a card or project using this
colour inspiration

You may have just joined me from Ilonka's blog
I chose to do baby wipe technique
Fold a baby wipe into quarters drop
several drops of re inkers onto your
wipe and this becomes your inkpad which
you stamp your stamps into.

I stamped several leaves onto whisper white cardstock then ran them through the bigshot with the dies. Then I made a watercolour background with the same ink colours.

Add my stamped images to my background and then stuck them down and ran it though the bigshot again inside the Subtle embossing folder

Added some twine and a bow and sentiment

I repeated the process again and created the second card

Colour Combo Blog Hop October

This is how my card started out....

Welcome to Colour Combo Blog Hop for October....

Real Red, Petal Pink and Blackberry Bliss.
Our colour palette is quite a combination that I thought I might struggle with.
You have 15 creations to view with this colour combo...

You may be starting with me or have just joined me from
Tanja Klinger-Selinger
blog...
Tanya's project is very pretty <3 AND another set that I think I may have to buy.

I started out with the Springtime Impressions Thinlits cut
Whisper White cardstock and then decided to add it to a card design
that I had only made once before...Not very successfully...
Sooo I ditched that card and started again.

Card 2 for the day....was much more successful

Then on to card 3,
I started out with a blank Springtime Impression die cut, then I decided to add some
Real Red Re-Inker and
Shimmer paint from the Holiday catalogue.

In a spritzer I added 2 drops of Real Red ink and 2 drops of Frost White Shimmer paint.
Then a small amount of water into the spritzer.

With a Petal Pink background mat I spritzed the die cut to create this background look

Then I add another previously inked die cut over the top of it.
Added a Real Red Mat behind this then I spritzed it again over the
Blackberry Bliss flowers to show the shimmer up...

Here is the finished card...

Up next is a wonderful creation from Renée Eckhardt

Due to a power outage my Blog is not finished yet...

We Create Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to We Create Halloween Blog Hop, the first day of October
where is this year going....So Halloween at the end of the month.

Halloween is not something that I celebrate here in Australia, BUT
I know many do throughout the world...
AND you will see with the participants from all over the world here hopping today
how many actually do celebrate Halloween....

You may have started with me or you are starting with
Kris Kilkenny

who is using the Lined Alphabet Stamp, which was one of the first
items I brought out of the Annual Catalogue.
Cannot wait to see what she designs...

So I really like the fact that with this Blog Hop we get
to pick the Stampin' Up! set or suite we want to showcase....
As soon as I saw the holiday catalogue, I knew that I LOVED the Owl die from
Night Owl Thinlits Dies...BUT it wasn't something that I would buy.
Luckily for me one of my team members was in LOVE with this bundle.
She allowed me to borrow it today to create this card and tea light candle holder.

I had recently seen a Blog Post using Christmas Chocolate Holders
which Bronwyn Eastley has a tutorial for sale on her blog.
These tutorials are currently on sale so I brought it and made my versions.

So out of this idea my project was born, I changed it a little bit.
I didn't have any correct sized chocolates here that fit the box.
So my first design became a card.

I cut the circle out with the  Layering Cirlcle Framelits Dies
out of the Night of Navy cardstock.
Next I cut a slightly smaller than 3" square of Twinkle Twinkle DSP
and cut the same sized circle out of it and layered it on the Night of Navy cardstock.

Then I layed the Gold foil branch down over the circle and only glued
where it touched the cardstock... Next I added glue dots to the
gold foil owl in places that they really wouldn't be seen.

Next I added the Vellum layer on the inside of box and stuck the second
branch and owl to that piece.  Adding glue in exactly the same spots
so they wouldn't be seen through either side.

If you are wondering how I got the owl and the branch to be in reverse,
I cut one set the correct way through the Big Shot.
Then once I had done that I turned the Gold Foil over and cut them
out of the back of the foil...
PLEASE NOTE this recommendation
Use a fairly new set of Big Shot Plates so that you don't get
previous cut lines on your gold foil.

You may need to use your Take Your Pick Tool to push out
all the details from the inside of your owls.

Then I added the sentiment from All The Good Things Stamp Set,
pretty appropriate for the OWL I felt!
I layered 3 levels inside the circle with dimensionals
Gold Foil, Twinkle Twinkle DSP and White CS

BUT I wasn't satisfied to stop there...
I saw something else that could be made out of this Christmas Chocolate holder.
A Tea Light Candle Holder with NON flame tea light of course. Did you see it too?

Sooo I flipped the tutorial and used the same dimensions to
create my
Tea Light Candle Holder.
Created all the elements again and just changed the way it sat on the table.

I used used the shaped die from the set to create the
HappyOWLween Sentiment...
Used 2 different lettering styles to create the words.
'Happy' and 'Ween' were created using Make A Difference Stamp Set
'OWL' was created using Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set

You could add Frosted and Epoxy Droplets for the Owls eyes

Very happy with how it turned out!!! EXCEPT for the dodgy photo.
I was trying to rush to take the photo as not to catch the paper on fire.
Don't do as I do, Do as I say...Use a flameless candle
BUT I didn't have one of them either.

Well I hope you liked my projects, please leave me a comment below
as I LOVE hearing what you think... Good or bad!!!
Please make sure you continue the Blog Hop by clicking on the NEXT button

Up next is
Anastasia Radloff who is using Farmhouse Christmas...
I am sure her designs will be nothing short of AMAZING.
This is another set that I do not own...So I suppose Anastasia will be an enabler
and force my hand into adding these products to my next order.

Thanks for visiting and leaving me comments...
Until next time Cheers Shaz
