FB group here
This month we have Guest Designer Margaret Hammersley Spencer who LOVES Sketches. Sketches take the hard work out of designing a layout. You can choose to flip it, rotate it OR just make your version of the sketch. Looks like a FUN Sketch with 3 photos, add some fun grunge/creative masks in the background. You may have hopped here from Julia Quinn who is one of our design team members.
The thing I LOVE most about sketches is it allows you to interpret it however you like. So for me when creating my layout there were a few things that stuck out to me. The texture in the background and the 2 frames behind the frames. I LOVE that it has multiple photos mats. I included a hidden journalling tab behind the largest photo that you can record all the details.
AS you can see there is not much to my layout, just a bit of stamping in the background. I let the Bright and Beautiful Memories and More Cards do their thing.. KISS - Keep It Simple Scrapbooking.
Products used are
12" x 12" Bubble Bath Cardstock - Assorted Subtles Cardstock #161714 Artistically Inked Cling Stamp Set (retiring soon) #154542 Fresh Freesia Classic Stampin' Pad #155611 Bright and Beautiful Memories & More Cards (retiring soon) #161754 Basic White Cardstock #159228 Tinsel Gems Three #161624 and Four Pack #161623 3/8" sheer Ribbon Combo in Bubble Bath #161635 Baker's Twine Essential Pack #155475 Foam Adhesive Sheets #152815
It was such a FUN layout to complete, I haven't found the right photos for this layout yet!
For the past 4 months we have had Guest Designers choose the theme's for our monthly Blog Hop which has given the Creative Design Team time to enjoy each month's challenge and decide if they wish to participate or not. Most months we participate though.
Up next... Julia Quinn with her Sketch layout. Follow the rest of the participants by clicking on the list below. Glad that you could HOP along with us today following the Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! - April 18th - Sketch Challenge

Vicky Wright and myself have teamed up again, this time with a Weekly Sketch. We both create with the same sketch, BUT I am sure totally different results. All Measurements are included, BUT can be adapted.
Week 3
Here is my version, simple sketch BUT this week I struggled to create.
Card Base - Shaded Spruce A - Lost Lagoon stamped with splotch stamp from Nature's Prints stamp in Shaded Spruce 2nd and 3rd generation stamping. I added a very thin Basic White mat behind to pop it off the Shaded Spruce card base.
B - Basic White Cardstock stamped with Leaf stamp from Nature's Prints stamp set in Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad Ink I also added a layer of Lost Lagoon DSP from Poetic Expressions DSP which I diecut out the Fern out of and layered the pieces back in between the leaves.
C - Basic White Cardstock stamped with Hello THERE from Nature's Prints stamp in Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad Ink. Then I also added a layer of Shaded Spruce Cardstock popped up behind using the Deckled Circles to cut both layers.
D - Basic White stamped with "You Can Bug Me Anytime" stamp from Hello Ladybug stamped in in Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad Ink To embellish I added 3 Antiqued lady bug embellishments from Ladybug Trinkets (retired)
We would LOVE you to join in and show us what you have created with our weekly sketches. Simply leave us a photo comment on our business pages.
Welcome to New at SU Blog Hop and Insta Hop. April 2024 HOP THEME: CASE a Team Member We get to CASE (Copy and Share Everywhere) a New at SU Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I am CASEing Jan Musselman from IHeartCards2 There are 15 of us hopping this month and we are all CASEing a team member,
check out the list at the bottom of post to follow everyone around the hop. It's my first month here on the team and what a FUN month to join.
I actually refer to CASEing as Copy and Selectively Edit. If you are still wondering what CASEing means, it is a FUN way of using the inspiration from someone else project, colour scheme, technique to create your own project.
Jan's project that I am CASEing is a 3D project that fits a bath bomb featuring
Poetic Expressions DSP, Thoughtful Expressions Dies & the Lost
Lagoon 1/4" Bordered Ribbon which will all retire the end of April. Some of my favourite products from the Jan- Apr Mini Catalogue. Jan also used the gorgeous Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder which I am very happy to report is carrying over to the NEW Annual Catalogue. Catalogue Launch date is May 2nd.
My project uses all the same products that Jan used BUT it is NOT a box. Truth be told I was stressing about CASEing Jan's Bath Bomb Box, I am not a box girl. I was inspired by the colours of Jan's project and I saw this POP up on my Instagram feed.
What an AMAZING creation by Sonja, I started following her immediately. So inspiring, so much so that I knew right then and there that I was making this mini album with Jan's colour and product combination. I created my own version of the album using Sonja measurements. I wanted to make this a Mini Album of my Son Jeffrey and Laura's Wedding photos, it is my Mother's Day present to myself. Basic White Thick Cardstock 23.5cm x 11.5cm, scored at 11cm and 12.5cm which was embossed with the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder. So much texture. 4 x Lost Lagoon Cardstock 21.5cm x 12cm score at 1.5cm and 11cm on the long side and 1cm on the short side. Fold and Burnish all score lines. Follow the reel for directions to create the pocket.
4 x Lost Lagoon Poetic Expressions DSP 10.5 x 9cm
Follow the Insta reel for directions to add details to the insert
I used 3/8" Pretty Peacock & Gold Metallic Ribbon for my pull tabs.
White Twine for the pocket inserts and the tops of my ribbon pull tabs.
Up until here this is where my album is exactly the same as Sonja's.
So I added a concentina spine in the inside of the album to hold the pockets in.
This was a very trial and error to get the dimensions right...
It is still not perfect BUT at least the pages are not moving now.
To cover the spine I added an extra layer of Basic White Cardstock on both the inside front
& inside back pages embossed with the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.
I added Lost Lagoon Frames to the photographs on the back of the pockets using the Stylish Shape Dies and plastic card covers to protect them.
On the pocket inserts I added photos to the front and back of them with plastic card covers to protect them.
Jan used the Thoughtful Expressions Dies on the front of her Bath Bomb Box. So I cut 7cm x 7 cm Lost Lagoon Cardstock square to add my sentiment to. I chose to do the same sentiment BUT from a different stamp set - Perennial Postage. I warmed up the heat gun and used Versamark and White Embossing Powder to create "Happy Mother's Day" then cut 3rd largest Thoughtful Expressions Die cut shape.
To create the Ribbon closures on both the front and back of the album I used Lost Lagoon Cardstock cut 2 punched shapes with the Decorative Circle Punch. Then cut a slit in it to run the 3/8" Pretty Peacock & Gold Metallic Ribbon ribbon around the album to secure in the middle. I then added another layer of Lost Lagoon Cardstock cut with 3rd smallest Thoughtful Expressions Die cut shape, cut in half add it on front and back over the Decorative Circle Punch.
To jazz up the front and give it the "Shaz 50thousand layers look" I added some of the the Diecut leaf designs out of the Basic White Cardstock, Lost Lagoon Cardstock and Lost Lagoon DSP to the front "Happy Mother's Day" shape.
Then I added some Basic White Cardstock flowers diecut from the NEW Flowers Of Beauty Dies coming out in the NEW Annual Catalogue. Lastly I added Bling - Iridescent Pastel Gems to the centres of those white diecut flowers. And a couple in about the same place that Jan had added her Bling.
Lastly I added Antiqued Corners (retired) to the front and back covers of the album.
This project was certainly a Labour of LOVE, something that I would LOVE to teach in a private class in the future. I hope Jan LOVES my CASE of her project. Speaking of Jan Musselman she is up next with her CASE.
I
want to say a HUGE THANKS to you who visit my blog <3 I really do appreciate you leaving me some Lovin'
in the form of a comment.
Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop - April 2024 CASE The Annual Catalogue.
Hello to all our fellow bloggers and hoppers out there. I only decided this morning to join the hop, I am trying to be more organised Haha! BUT those who know me know that I am last minute Annie.
Sooo I quickly thought what am I going to CASE from the Annual Catalogue. I decided to go with products that are retiring and showcase them. I LOVE Tailored Tags Dies and I really do LOVE the 2022-2024 InColors. So I flipped until I saw something that I could make with these products.
On Pg 69 I saw the tag card with the hello on it... I actually don't own that stamp or that punch so it was meant to be. Flicking through the catalogue I realised that I have so many stamps that I have not even used...
Vicky Wright and myself have teamed up again, this time with a Weekly Sketch. We both create with the same sketch, BUT I am sure totally different results. All Measurements are included, BUT can be adapted.

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop - Mar 21st - Celebrating Hobbies. This month we have Guest Designer Lisa Stucker showing us the variety of crafts that Lisa dabbles in, in her spare time. She is so talented! Lisa has created 5 layouts for this challenge, what an AMAZING effort. In Lisa's PDF she has included all 5 layouts which will be uploaded into the files section of Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! Group after 2pm
We are trying to encourage EVERYONE to join in the HOP's every month. We prefer that you do have a Blog so that you can join the hop every month. BUT you don't have to have a blog to participate in these monthly challenges by submitting a photo to the Album of the Month after 2pm AEDT.
Celebrating Hobbies for me is all about Stamps, Ink and Paper. My layout is very bold and I am trying the CTMH style of page with Colour Blocking I have used the Earthen Elegance DSP and Masterfully Made DSP.
The Frames and the Heart is from the Radiating Stitches Dies The Circles are from the Stylish Shapes Dies AND the stamped images are from the Crafting With You Bundle. The title is made with Alphabet Al A Mode - CRAFT - is an acronym for Creating Really Amazing Fun Things (which can be found in the NEW Catty pg 102) It is spelt out in the smaller title and is stamped with Alphabest Stamp set. Which I haven't finished completely SORRY, I still need to add Stamps, Ink and Paper yet
I used Pretty Peacock Ink on this layout.
Up next... Julia Quinn with her Celebrating Hobbies layout. Follow the rest of the participants by clicking on the list below. Glad that you could HOP along with us today following the Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! - Mar 21st Blog Hop.
Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop, Crafty Collaborations is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from throughout the world collaborating together and sharing their creative flair. You may have joined me from Rochelle Laird Smith blog or you may be starting here with me... Thank you for joining us this month. I LOVE not having any theme or challenge for our Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop. It allows me to choose EXACTLY what I want to create with, not having any boundries. I have been playing with Notes of Nature all this month, it is such a FUN set of stamps that allows you to create a collage type of background simply by using 1st, 2nd and third generations of ink on your stamp. I used Pebbled Path, Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Pad to layer all the stamped elements on top of each colour. I totally forgot to take a photo before I started adding all the layers.
That was all I needed to create this layout of our Son's Wedding in Oct last year. The Cake actually isn't blue it was a purply colour BUT when I printed the photos out this is the colour it came out.... So I decided to go with the Boho Blue 12" x 12" Cardstock.
This long leaf die has so much detail on all the leaves, I didn't want to hide them. So I chose to use Scalloped Contours Dies to cut Vellum cardstock as the frame to layer the photos on over the leaves. Laura's dress had such gorgeous leaves all over the sleeves so I thought it was very appropriate to add these leaf dies behind the frames.
It is a very simple layout BUT it has my signature layers with the leaves and flowers. The flowers that were on a couple of leaves these are fussy cut from the DSP.
The sentiments came from the stamp set Cake Fancy in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalogue. I also added Celebrate from Wanted To Say Dies this morning and the photos are so different in the daylight hours than when I photographed yesterday afternoon under stormy skies. Just perfect for this layout.
Up next is the super talented Marga Bultena, with her layout.
I hope that you have enjoyed all the layouts that we shared with you today. We have so many talented scrapbookers among us Stampin' Up! Demos don't you agree with the AMAZING layouts here.
