Stamp 'N Hop - New Annual Catty Preorder

Hi my name is Shaz (Australia) Welcome to my blog
So excited to be hopping with 24 Talented Demo's from all around the world.

You may have just hopped to my blog from Jennifer Charles's blog

This month we are previewing products from the upcoming New Catalogue
which launches on the 1st of June...These products we got to pre-order early.
I have created a Scrapbooking Layout with the Nature's Poem Suite.
I used Nature's Poem DSP, Rooted In Nature stamp set and Nature's Roots Framelits.
ALSO the EARLY RELEASE of Love What You Do stamp set.
AS well as some returning products from 2017 Annual Catalogue
Textured Impressions Embossing (TIEF) 'Woodland' folder.
Tree Rings Background stamp.
I also used some embossing paste to create more texture and layers...
ALL PRODUCTS LISTED AT THE END OF THE POST,
which you can purchase from my online store.

AND RETURNING Colors from previous years.

Like this one that I have used on my background of my layout, MINT MACARON!!
YES I use the cardboard packing slip for a bit of sturdiness to my dsp.
and I never ever use a full sheet of dsp or cardstock behind my layouts.
I don't like to waste all that beautiful dsp or cardstock.

My layout starts out with the photo that I want to Scrap, do you do the same thing?
Then I create all the embellishments that I want to use.
I wanted the log stamp from Rooted in Nature to have a bit more texture,
so I added some Embossing paste to my silicon mat.
I then added some Soft Suede re-inker to the paste to colour it.
I smeared some coloured embossing paste onto the wood looking dsp
then stamped the Tree Rings stamp set into the wet embossing paste
to create a background impression...(Wash off stamp immediately)
I can tell you this didn't work out how I thought it would in my head.
When this dried, I tried to stamp the log stamp onto this BUT it didn't work so well.
I did still use them, sadly not as effective as I hoped they would be.

Then next I stamped out some leaves...
I used Tranquil Tide ink on Mint Macaron cardstock, the large leaves I stamped off the ink before stamping on the cardstock (2nd generation stamping).
The small leaves I used full strength Tranquil Tide, these small leaves I added texture to
them with the embossing dies included in Nature's Roots Framelits.
There are 3 different sized leaves that only emboss in this set.
BUT they do have dies to cut out the shape which is very handy.

I also used the 3 leaf embossing die on the Rust coloured DSP to create some different
coloured leaves on the layout. There is a beautiful large tall tree so I had to have one or two on my layout as well in this beautiful rust coloured dsp.

With the leftover paste from my log background, I used it on whisper white cardstock
over the 'BRICK' Pattern Party Decorative Masks. This gave me another textured
piece to add to my layout...
I also used the TIEF Woodland folder to add a lil bit more texture, I used the rust coloured
dsp and then I ran it through the Big Shot and then sanded it back to give that rustic look

I always place all my components of the layout on the base then continually
move them all around until I feel like they are in the RIGHT spot...
Throughout this whole process, I continually take photos as I find it is better to look
at the layout in a photo - I can see much better what needs to be moved or straightened.

I wanted to add more photos & journalling BUT I felt that it would take away from
the photos of the scenic view...So I created a sneaky photo spot complete with a
leaf to pull it out and journalling block with another photo under it...

I am so happy to have these photos on the layout, BUT not over powering the
featured photos...Here is the complete layout now with all these NEW Products.
So happy with this layout...
That I thought I would whip up a card with all left over bits.
.This suite is going to be such a universal set for any occasion that I card is made for....
Don't You Agree???

    1. Thanks very much Maureen, you know the worst thing about this layout - was the fact that once I had it all placed where I wanted it, I had to pull it all apart to stick it down.
      Cheers Shaz
