Scrapbooking Global - June Blog Hop - Birthday and Parties

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global June Blog Hop,
there are 17 talented  Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from
around the world joining us today.

This month's theme was picked by our Guest Designer Marga Bultena....
Birthdays and Parties is such a great theme.

You may have just joined me from Delys Cram's Blog
Delys is one of our Talented Creative Design Team Members.
Scrapbooking Global and the Blog Hop could not be run
without this team, these ladies help me all the time...
Please give them all a HUGE shoutout!!!

I am absolutely positive that Delys will have something truly AMAZING on her blog.
Now that you are here, I have a couple of brand new products to showcase.
I am also using a couple that carried over to the 2019/2020 Catalogue.

I started with the Dinoroar DSP, I cut out some of the dinosaurs as I didn't buy
the stamps or the dies... I just wanted to see what I could do with the paper
without the rest of the suite.

I absolutely LOVE this paper, and I am sure that if you have any lil men in your life
they will love it too!!! The photos I will put on this layout is of a friend's lil boy
who just celebrated his First Birthday.

BUT you will see that I use the inside mats for the
Tropical Chic framelits so that I am not wasting paper.
I not only do this on my scrapbooking layouts BUT I do it on my cards as well.
Saves me paper and all those extra layers.

Next I made some of the cut out dinosaurs dimensional with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Some I just stuck straight to the paper.
Don't you agree that this DSP is just so cute?

I used the new lettering for this title... I think this font is so versatile!!!

Bugger it is blurry I will have to take a photo with the camera, that will have to be later.

Up next is Marga Bultena
Seen as though she chose this theme I am pretty positive that
Marga will have created a masterpiece, I cannot wait to see it!!!

Here is a list of all the participants of the Blog Hop for you to follow along
If for some reason this link is broken.

Please leave me some love in the comment box below
Thank you for Hopping along with me and the rest of this creative bunch.

Stamp 'N Hop 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue

Welcome to Stamp 'N Hop 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue Blog Hop
20 of us to showcase this Beautiful catalogue, Sooo Many Gorgeous products.
You may have joined me from Jacqui Lawrence's Blog or just started the Hop with me...

Well as always I am behind in my creating again....Story of my life lately
BUT I always seem to pull something out of thin air....
Normally I find the photo and go from there, BUT again I started this without a photo.

PINTEREST is always my GO TO when I am struggling to find something to create.
I searched for Stampin' Up! 2019-2020 Scrapbooking and only cards came up.
So I just searched Vintage scrapbooking and this came up

A long way off of Stampin' Up! BUT it was all the inspiration I needed.
Thanks
Gabrielle Pollocco, so Beautiful
My layout didn't end up being Vintage, BUT I absolutely LOVE it!!

I started with a piece of Sahara Sand 12x12 Cardstock from the
Neutrals 12 x12 Cardstock and tore up it across the page
Next I spritzed the cardstock so that I could make the ridges that Gabrielle created
You have to be careful so that you don't rip any holes in your cardstock.
I just kept spritzing and gently created the layers...

Sooo after I had created the layers, I then dried it with a heat gun...
Next I added text randomly to the bottom half of the Sahara Sand cardstock.
The text - "Wishing you a day of love and joy"  was from Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set
I stamped it with Crumb Cake Classic Stampin Pad

I couldn't go past the NEW Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper
And the matching Perennial Essence 12 x 12 Vellum Cardstock.

I knew it would go PERECTLY with this vintage kinda look

Next I tore the Petal Pink piece of DSP so that this would go behind the Sahara Sand
I decided that I would add some dimension using Shimmery Embossing Paste
I added a couple of drops of Grapefruit Grove Re-Inker and mixed it up.
I decided to create my own stencil rather than use the ones that are in the catalogue.
So I used Springtime Impressions die, which comprises of varying blooms and leaves.

To create your very own stencil, I use Window Sheets and dies
run them through your favourite die-cutting machine.
I needed to use the Precision Cutting Mat to get a complete cut through the Window Sheet
with the Springtime Impressions die

Next I randomly added the embossing paste and stencil all over my page
Sometimes I did a lot, some places I only did a small amount.
You can dry this with the Heat Gun but I just went onto creating my blooms next.

When I create a layout with lots of layers, and it becomes lumpy bumpy
I stick it to the cardboard that comes with our DSP as this gives it stability.
Once the Embossing Paste was dry I dragged out my poor old sewing machine and randomly stitched in different places on the layout...
My machine is a work horse she is always sewing through layers.

I knew that I would use the matching Floral Essence Stamp Set to create Vellum blooms.
I did use some retired Grapefruit Grove Embossing Powder
with Clear Embossing Powder on the Petal Pink Vellum Cardstock...
I stamped about 10 large blooms and then about 20 smaller 3 point blooms
from the same set which has a matching Perennial Flower punch
Once I heat embossed them I used my bone folder to curl them to create dimension
I did some of them under and over the petals...
Using Mini Glue Dots to hold them together.

I still hadn't found a photo for this layout, so the hunt began...
Luckily I remembered at my Daughter's Bridal Shower
we wore huge blooms in our hair.  PERFECT!!!

Now I started to piece it all together, I needed to make my photo sit above the ridges.
So I built up layers of cardboard (I use the 12x12 pieces that come in the Foil & Glimmer)
I don't chuck this out!!!  See the photos!!!

Next I stick my DSP to the cardstock then my photo to that.
WOW lucky that photo mat is not stuck to the layout yet as that is mighty crocked.

My blooms are so big that I do lose a lot of the ridges, which is disappointing.
BUT they do look Beautiful, don't you agree?

Ok I think I can show you the layout now that you have seen most of the details.
I also cut out a Floral accent from the
Springtime Impressions dies
out of the background DSP to pop behind the photo.

I stamped the leaf from Floral Essence Stamp Set on the back of the Green Vellum
with Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin Pad
stamped off to show up the veins on the leaf stamp.
Then punched them out with the Leaf punch.
I stuck some of them the right way up and then I used some upside down between
all the floral blooms, they are a PERFECT accent.
(If you stamp on the front of the vellum it takes ages to dry and you may smudge it.)

Sooo very happy with this layout...
It is definitely going to have to go in a Shadow Box Frame up in the Studio Shabaz.
This layout has too much dimension to go in a traditional album.

There is no title yet as I am waiting on the
new lettering from Stampin' Up! Hand-Lettered Prose dies.
I am also wondering if I need anything else embellishment wise on this layout,
Do you think it needs anything???

If you LIVE in Australia and don't have your very own Demonstrator
I can help you out there...

ESAD 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue Blog Hop Sneak Peak

Welcome to ESAD Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek Blog Hop.
There are 25 of us, all Demonstrators from Australia and New Zealand
who are creating projects using new products from 2019-2020 Catalogue.

We all have been inspired from this catalogue and we put our styles and designs
to the test to show you a Sneak Peak before the catalogue launches on June 4...
Not long now to wait....
You may have joined me from Mandy's Blog or have started with me...

I knew exactly which stamp set I was going to use and which colour ink I was using
before I even had any idea of what I was going to do...
I started perusing through some very old Scrapbooking books - Scrapbook etc.
Sooo many great layouts in these magazines
probably why I haven't thrown these out!!!
So I found a sketch inspiration to start my layout...
I usually start with photos.  BUT not this layout!!!

See that very small sketch down the bottom of that photo...That is my inspiration.

I started by using Sahara Sand 12 x 12 Cardstock from the Neutrals Collection

Then I used Butterfly Wishes Cling Stamp Set as this is a DISTINKTIVE stamp
you need to use some Sponge Daubers to apply the ink to the stamp to see all the
realistic depth and intensity.
Can you see the distinct impressions?

Firstly I added Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad to the branch,
then Pear Pizzazz
Classic Stampin' Pad to the leaves,
and lastly 2019-2021 InColor
Terracotta Tile Classic Stampin' Pad to the flowers...
I  kept the case in front of me so I could see where the branch, leaf and flowers
were so when I added the colour I added it in the correct places.

I stamped this down the left hand side changing the direction
then I also stamped more out on extra Sahara Sand A4 cardstock
and cut these out to add some dimension down the side of this layout.

Then I chose some Designer Series Paper from Woven Threads and
2019-2021 InColor 6x6 to add as my photo mats and journaling mats.
I stamped the butterflies on the same DSP with
Terracotta Tile Classic Stampin' Ink and Pretty Peacock
Classic Stampin' Ink

Sooo many gorgeous designs in these 2 Designer Series Papers packs
Once I had all the DSP in place then I added the dimensional branches to my layout
and added double butterflies for the optical illusion that they were flying.

OK I cannot believe how a simple sketch
brought me so much inspiration for this page...
Terracotta Tile is going to be my NEW favourite colour seen as though
Lemon Lime Twist is leaving us in 2 days :(

I also used Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies for the stitched border for the small quote
and the random sized hearts on the colour block.
So happy that these are carrying over to the new catalogue.
I also added some Soft Suede colour to the Sahara Sand coloured DSP with
a Stampin' Write Marker to give it some definition from the background cardstock.
This colour can be found in a pack of ten Neutrals Stampin' Write Markers

Well that is it for me for now, I will be back later to add all the products as
most of them are from the new catalogue which isn't LIVE until June 4.
Up next is Maree McIntosh with her design from the new catalogue
