Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop Spring/New Beginnings

Welcome to Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop April - Spring/New Beginnings
I chose to create a layout for Spring as I love that time of the year...
Spring to me is all about the flowers and butterflies and it just so colourful.

There are 9 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world hopping with us today.
You may have just joined me from
Shirley Merker's Blog

OR You may be just starting the Hop with me...
I think you will be surprised today, the diversity of this group.
I used several Stamp sets to create this layout...
Butterfly Wishes 149346

Beauty Abounds 148726
Swirly Frames 146519

All of which are carrying over to 2020/2021 Catalogue
So hence why I went with this weeks Stampin' Up! colour challenge for #keepstamping

Lovely Lipstick (retiring insert :( sad face), Old Olive, Blushing Bride and Gorgeous Grape

Whoopsie I just realised I used Melon Mambo, BUT anyways it still looks AWESOME.

Lots of stamping not much paper!!
My layouts are normally paper/dsp heavy, not this one <3
It's like so different to what I normally would create...
BUT it just doesn't need it!!!
Cardstock used was Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape

I love what you can achieve when you combine several stamp sets on the one layout...
I did use a die from the Jan-June Mini Catalogue Cherry Blossoms to fill in my flowers.
The layout was looking a bit flat without those blooms...

Here is the finished layout, well finished is probably not the correct word as it doesn't
have photos inside the frames... I will have to search my hard drives
for something that will go with this bright and colourful layout...
I actually have some photos of Cherry Blossoms from a trip to Victoria might dig them out.

I just LOVE the vibrancy of this colour combination, just PERFECT for Spring!!!
For my title I actually cut up a stamp, Hello Friend from Seriously The Best Stamp Set.
I cut the hello away from friend...Sometimes you just have to be brave and go for it!!!
AND then I used Make a Difference Stamp Set to create the word Spring
Up next is the very talented Angélique Stempelkeuken
Angelique creates some pretty AMAZING projects with Stamps, Ink and Paper

Colour INKspiration #76

Tonight I am the Guest Designer over at Colour INKspiration.
A couple of weeks ago I was the Winner for #74, see my card here
so I was asked to be Guest Designer for #76

Today’s picture, which has inspired our Autumn colour palette,
was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Bronwyn Eastley.

The colour combination for #CI76, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Pear Pizzazz, you may also add Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends.

I chose a Die Set that I have been dying to try this idea on...Sweet Silhouttes.
I wanted to make the girl look like she was kicking up the leaves while she was swinging
under the tree, being Autumn Tones I had to go with falling leaves.

I hope you liked what I created...
I cut out 3 different coloured trees from Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie
plus and extra Pear Pizzazz one to cut away some of the leaves.
I only used partial parts of the Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie and the rest of the leaves
I used for down the bottom.  Then I stamped the girl with Momento Ink first,
second and third generation stamping.  Moving the stamp a lil bit to the left
without re-inking, this is how you get the lighter look.

Pop over and see what the Designers have created for this colour combination.
I had so much fun creating this card....
Cheers Shaz

Social Stamping - Friend

Hello EVERYONE, Thanks for joining me for Kelly Kent's Blog Host.
This is my second Social Stamping blog host post.

I LOVE that Kelly asked her fellow Stampin' Up! friends to connect
via the WWW so that we could share stamping socially,
such a fantastic way to get together and not feel isolated during Covid-19.
There are quite a few of us here today showing you so many

different projects for our Friend.

I have chosen to use the colours from Stampin' Up Challenge #keepstamping
Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso...
I just LOVE how all the colours work together even though they look like they wouldn't!

I used 2 Stamp Sets A Little Lace and Artfully Aware and I created 2 cards
using the same fancy fold - Pop Out Fun Fold Card from
Stampingly Patsy

I used Pretty Peacock card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Score at 4 1/4"
Pool Party inside card 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" Score at 1/2", 2 1/2" and 4 1/2"

Cut You can make the window round or square.  Your cutout on the front of the card just needs to be a bit larger than the one you will attach to pop out.

I used Layered Circle Die with the circles and scallops...
I used No 7 to cut my circle out of my front of base card - Pretty Peacock
I used No 6 to cut another circle out of Whisper White which I stamped the hugging ladies.
Then I cut a Scallop that was just bigger than the Whisper White circle.

Now you are ready to stamp the rest of your card before you stick it in...
(Which I didn't do...being impatient, BUT I recommend you stamp first)

I added my sentiment on the inside

Now you stick the last folded panel with the sentiment to the RHS side of card

Then you fold the rest of the card inside and mark where you circle sits on this piece
Make 2 pencil marks where the circle is...
Cut 2 curves (1 above the top line pencil mark and 1 below the bottom pencil mark)
Only cutting to the score line...

Now you fold the middle back on to itself and stick down.
Then you add some glue or tape to the top and bottom pieces and fold the card up
and stick it to the front panel (just check you can't see the cut marks before fully sticking it)

Now you are ready to add your middle circle to the piece where it is folded back.

I had so much fun I made another quick one

Hope you enjoyed that quick card
