Colour Combo - Jan 2019

Welcome to Colour Combo January 2019 Blog Hop
I can't quite believe that it is already 2019, hope this year doesn't go as quick as 2018.
We are off to wonderful start to the year here in Queensland Australia,
lots of BEAUTIFUL rain.

Speaking of Beautiful, the colours for this hop go so well together.
We have Cajun Craze, Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape.
I cannot wait to see what all the other participants create.
You may be starting with me or have hopped from Cheryl

Following on from a theme that Stampin' Up! released at Nov OnStage 2018
Simple Stamping, I have decided to make 3 cards...

Simple Stamping is simply that Stamps, Ink and Cardstock.
I actually found it harder than I thought as I LOVE to layer and add dimensions.
You can STEP it up with Embellishments and Layering.

So I chose the FREE stamp set Sprinkled With Love which is a photo polymer,
which makes it very easy to line up to create the design.

Isn't it a beautiful stamp set
FREE you ask, if you purchase $90 AUD Stampin' Up! products
during Sale-A-Bration promotion you get to choose a FREE product.
More about that later.

My Simple Stamping Card is as follows
I chose to use Very Vanilla Cardstock as my base of my initial stamping.
This piece of card is cut at 5" x 3 1/2"

I stamped the cupcake base in Cajun Craze ink

Then I used Coastal Cabana ink for the icing layer between cupcake and frosting
Then used Gorgeous Grape ink for the frosting on the cake..

Then I added the sentiment Sprinkled with Love above the cupcake,
in Coastal Cabana Ink.

I added a layer of Coastal Cabana behind my Very Vanilla
This piece of card is cut at 5 1/4" x 3 3/4"

Then for the Casual Stamping Card is almost exactly the same as the Simple Card
But this time I added another colour - Mango Melody ink to add the sprinkles.
AND a couple of Glitter Enamer Dot embellishments, in Gorgeous Grape colour.
I also added a bit of Wink of Stella to the Frosting.

My Avid Stamping Card (Stepped up version)
has all the things I LOVE to include on my cards - Layering.
I stamped the same cupcake again exactly the same as before.
BUT this time I Stamped it again and cut it out to layer it up with dimenstionals.

I also stamped off/2nd generation stamping of the Frosting
to make a lighter coloured frosting on top of the Gorgeous Grape.
I fussy cut this one out as well and then added some Wink of Stella to give it shimmer.

I then stamped the sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla and then cut it
with the Triple Banner Punch to create a peak.
Then I cut up a scrap piece of Gorgeous Grape slightly larger than the very vanilla banner
and added it as a layer behind the sentiment.

This time I ran all of my coloured cardstock mats and cupcake and sentiment
through the Bigshot in the Subtle Embossing Folder
to add some texture and layering to my Avid card.

 Very Vanilla Cardstock  5" x 3 1/2"
Coastal Cabana Cardstock  5 1/4" x 3 3/4"
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 5 1/2" x 3 15/16" (almost 4")
Card Base is Cajun Craze 5 7/8" x 4 1/4"

I always try to remember to stamp on the inside, not just the sentiment.
And I create a matching envelope too.
I do hope that you LOVE my Beginner, Casual and Avid Stamping.
Here are some close up photos of the cards.

Up next is Jo Blackman with her gorgeous creations.

ESAD 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Welcome to the 1st ESAD Blog Hop of 2019....
So excited to be here, along with 22 other talented Australian and New Zealand Demos.

We are all designing projects with products from the brand new
Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogues which went LIVE on Jan 3.
I created a Scrapbooking layout as my project...
The products that I am using are from the Occasions catalogue.
Perfect for my photos that you can see in the sneak peak.
You may have just hopped from Libby's Blog or just starting with me.
Hoping you are enjoying the creations on each of the blogs.

Firstly I cut up 5 double sided All My Love designer series paper into 2" strips.
Using the 1 5/8" Stitched Square Framelit I cut 5 from each piece
Found this graphic on Pinterest of all the sizes.
The link takes you to Sarah Wills blog

Then I printed my photographs and cut into 3 1/2" squares
Laid them out on my Whisper White 12 x 12 Cardstock...
I angled them on the page then I stuck them down with tear and tape
Aren't they cuties...

Next I laid down some of my stitched square frames until I was happy.
Me being me I had to rule lines and make sure it was STRAIGHT...
If you close one eye it will look straight LOL

I mounted the one with
LOTS of hearts DSP Stitched Square Framelits Dies
with Stampin' Up Dimensionals to make it POP!!!
Then I used Meant To Be CLING Stamp Set to add random hearts
between the All My Love DSP Stitched Squares.
Using Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo Ink Pads

Then I used Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies to cut out the heart with small floral image.
The heart wit the floral image was stamped in Crumb Cake that has been stamped off.
I  then coloured with Lovely Lipstick, Balmy Blue and Soft Sea Foam Ink
with a Aqua Painter, gives it a soft watercolour look.

This is how I layered my hearts together, as 1st heart is cut with the filigree look
and the 2nd and 3rd hearts are cut at the same time, stitching and cutting.
I cut a Lovely Lipstick layer as well as the Whisper White layer

I always like to add some colour to the edge of my cardstock,
Daubers are too big for some small sentiments.
So you have probably seen me show you my tip before.
I use a cotton tip with a small amount of ink on it and run this around the edge
to give it a bit of dimension against the background.

I think I should show you now, OK I am ready to share the finished layout.
(even though you probably scrolled past my ramblings)

I will be giving this layout away as a gift to the parents of these two girls.
Do you think the black frame is too BOLD for this layout. Should it be a white frame?

Up next is Rose Packer from Creative Roses here in Australia.
I am sure that she will have a beautiful creation.
If some how the NEXT link below doesn't work you can always yse the list below
to follow along the hop and see all the AMAZING projects.
Thank you for Hopping along with me.

We Create The Blues Blog Hop

Welcome to We Create Blog Hop with all the lovely Demonstrators
around the globe that are hopping today with this common theme.

The Blues: Use any shades of blue and please keep it as monochromatic as possible.
Blue should be the main color with minimal accents of other colors.

Every month when we sign up to participate we actually choose a set we want to use.
With the Occasions catalogue going LIVE on the 3rd Jan, I chose a set that
I knew that I would LOVE from the moment I saw it in the catalogue.
Beauty Abounds (New Cling Mount) on Pg 13, it also has matching Thinlits.
If you buy the Bundle you save 10% immediately, so that is what I did!

You may have just joined me from Kimberley's Blog Or started with me.
I cannot wait to show you the Decor piece that I created with this suite.

So very Thankful that Stampin' Up! have Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets 144106.
These sheets are double sided adhesive so that you can stick them to the cardstock
and then cut out your die and then peel away the backing sheet and stick it straight down.

They made my job so much easier than having to glue all the lil pieces by hand.

I actually created a frame for inside a shadow box frame,
it took me all day to create the border and it was very messy....
I didn't even use Beauty Abounds stamp set until today.

Here is almost the finished product....
I made a couple of adjustment before I was happy with the border of the matted frame.
I used a generic set of Stitched Rectangles to create my matted frames..
AS SOON AS I CAN I WILL BE BUYING Stampin' Up!'s
Check them out on pg 28 of the Occasions catalogue.

Now to the insert...Which only took about 2 Hrs.
I stamped the Bubbles with Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel and Balmy Blue Inks
on Balmy Blue Cardstock, which was matted with the other 2 colours.
Then I ran this through the Big Shot with both the Butterfly Dies and Embossing Mats
You can see in the second image how the dies only embossed not cut...
This makes our dies so versatile, with multiple uses

I added the Large Butterfly as it was too plain without it, don't you agree...

Here is the finished Shadow Box Frame Decor piece for my Studio.
Tomorrow I will try to get a better colour photo of it as this looks too bright!!

Hope you liked my project, I sure enjoyed creating this frame.
Up next is Tricia Butts, I am sure she will have something pretty special too.

Thank you for hopping along with us, please remember to leave us some love.
We all love to know what you think of our projects.
I will be back tomorrow with a comprehensive list of products that I used.
Cheers Shaz
