Welcome to Sept 21st Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop, which is held monthly.
You can join us over Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! FB group.
We have over 6000 members, we exclusively use Stampin' Up! products
We have Designs team member and members of the group create a layout
for the specific theme.
This month I chose the theme Mode of Transport,
as I knew I was away holidaying when this goes LIVE.
Hence why there are No photos on my layout.
My name is Sharon (Shaz) and I have been scrapbooking since 2002,
So a long time....these days I don't scrap as much as I would like too.
My layout was created exclusively with DSP - Masterfully Made 12 x 12 paper
It is designed to look like torn paper, so I tore some of the papers to create
the look of a landscape from the plane windows.
Grass, Gardens, Landscape and then Mountains and Clouds.
I used lots of dies to create this layout, some are bundles and some are stand alone dies. Brilliant Background, Decked Rectangles and Waves dies for my clouds!!! Being away at my friend's house I had to be creative to use what she owns.
AND the Alphabest Stamp and co-ordinating punch for my title
I want to show you how you can get depth and dimension by layering dies. On the clouds (which by the way are wave foam) I have layered 3 of the foam on top of eachother with glue then I blended over them to create dimensions.
I created my aeroplane out of vellum that has text printed on it...It was FUN to make!!!!
Sorry there are no photos, I just ran out of time to print them.
I hope you LIKED my layout, it came together very easily.
Up next is Cheryl with her layout.
I want to say a HUGE THANKS to you who visit my blog and comment it really means a lot to me. I really do appreciate you leaving me some Lovin' in the form of a comment.
Welcome to August 17 Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop - Sketch This month our Creative Design Team Member Sharni Haines LOVES working with Sketches to create her scrapbooking layouts. What FABULOUS inspiration that we have to work with.
If you are just joining us for the first time, this group was started by few of us who wanted somewhere to share our Scrapbooking designs using Stampin' Up! products with the rest of the world through a FB Group. Our group quickly grew in popularity with over 6.600 members and there is so much inspiration. We are group of Demonstrators and LOVERS of Stampin' Up! product. Anyone can join they just must answer a few questions first. Check out the group - Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up!
Sharni Haines I cannot wait to see your design with this sketch.
So the brief of this month's hop is to create a layout with the above Sketch.
My mind was going wild with ideas, BUT I chose to use a product in the catalogue
that could easily be overlooked while browsing the pages filled with inspiration.
Memories & More on page 134.
Who knew that Stampin' Up! also has products that allow you to create Mini Albums?
Everything that you need are in this Bright & Beautiful Memories & More Card pack.
I been wanting to create some Memories and More pages since I got this pack.
These were the very first order of products from the Annual Catalogue.
So today it is the first time I played with them in the variety pack 6" x 8" Photo Pocket Pages.
I have chosen to use the co-ordinating Memories & More Cards and Envelopes
to create my layout of this sketch. Now it does make it somewhat harder as you only
a 6" x 8" page to cover.
So I cut one of the Pink cards down to fit in the pocket page then completely cut
off the second card just so I had the pink part and adhered them together.
This allowed me a whole page to play with the Memories & More Cards and adhesive
sticker sheets to create my layout.
Now I know that my Grand Daughter's 1st Birthday is coming up and I wanted to create
an Album for her just for this occasion.
With a little bit of fiddling and fussing I created this layout...
Hope that you LOVED my layout, here is the next Scrapbooking Blog hop participant
Until next month, Thanks for joining us on the Hop. Please leave us some LOVIN' in the form of a comment we would really appreciate your words to encourage us.
Sneak Peak, Look at my Gorgeous Little Granddaughter. So Cheeky
Welcome to July 20, 2023 Scrapbooking Global _ Stampin' Up! Blog Hop - Grid Patterns
This month Julia Quinn our talented Creative Design Team Member chose this theme and what a cool theme it is... It had my mind in a spin there for a bit, I wanted to create a quilting pattern that looks cool in a grid pattern formation BUT time once again whips my butt.
At Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! we are a Facebook group of over 6000 members and we ask that you mainly use Stampin' Up! products on our page when creating Scrapbooking Layouts, Samplers and Home Decor. We have this monthly Blog Hop to inspire our members and the public to join in and participate if they want to. Our Blog Hops are held on the 3rd Thurs of the month. That depends I suppose where you live in the world, but everyone is welcome to join us. Every month a new theme is added and you sign up around the 5th of the month.
If you don't have a blog you can still participate, simply create a layout for the theme and upload it to the album with that month's name.
Soooo I stepped back and literally did a grid pattern...BUT with a little twist... It's called Faux Tile Technique <3 Pretty Cool I reckon. I made this card yesterday and it gave me the idea for my layout today.
You may have started the hop with me or started it Scrapbooking Global - Stampin' Up! member Lauren Colless. Lauren is joining us for the first time on our hop. Please welcome her and the rest of the hoppers, leave them all some love in the form of a comment after you have seen what they created.
So I love a black background on my Scrapbooking layouts. I worked out where my photos were going and then ruled up my page. I used my scoring blade on my trimmer to create the background, ruling my background into 1" squares... It is so hard to show up on a black background.
Next I used the Darling Details Photopolymer Stamp with white ink to create the grid-like images over the edges of my temporary photo mats. I probably should have added more stamping BUT I just got on to adding the rest of the details from this Darling Details Bundle.
Just the process is so hard to photograph, hope you get the idea.
Here it is now with the Moody Mauve, Bubble Bath Floral images. 11 flowers were stamped and diecut from Darling Details Bundle. I stamped the outline image first and then lined up the background image. I find it easier this way to get almost perfect alignment.
Next I used the border dies to create frames around my photos. First one was Bubble Bath with the smallest frame. See how you can see the grid pattern between the stamped images AWWW... I am gushing about this photograph. Eloise you are just so adorable <3
I needed to cut 4 long border edges for the large photo of my Daughter to create this border around the photo.
The cardstock colours that I chose are Moody Mauve, Bubble Bath and Boho Blue they work perfectly together with our clothes don't you think?
Love how this one worked out with this Bundle and recent photos of my family when we visited Cairns to catch up with Kirrily, Adam and Eloise.
Actually didn't use any DSP on this layout, a big change for me. Stamping and Die-cutting for this layout. Still need a title and some bling BUT I just couldn't choose.
Updated the post with the Title and some Bling, Bling
but the light has really affected these photos....Soz
Up Next is Julia Quinn, I cannot wait to see what she created for her theme... I am sure it will be AMAZING
Until next month, Thank you to everyone who joined the hop this month. Please remember to go by and comment on the blog hop pages and leave them some love. Cheers Shaz
