Welcome to Scrapbooking Global's March 17th Blog Hop
our theme this week was picked by Maï Lavidalie.
I LOVE her theme because it is a Colour Combo and they make me use colours
I wouldn't normally use together.
So the colours that Maï chose were Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink.
I will be so sad to see Misty Moonlight retire from our colour palette at the end of May
You may have just joined me from Courtenay Heuston
blog where she has used a circle layout very similar to mine.
I swear I did mine before she showed me her page....
find in a pack of 12x12 Neutrals cardstock assortment.
I added some background stencilling in Crumb Cake ink using the new Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks in the Jan-June Mini.
Next I used a kids plastic plate and drew around it several times just moving it slightly with the Misty Moonlight Stampin' Write Marker from 2020-2022 InColors .
Then I added some background stamping from Ranunuculus Romance Bundle
Then I die cut out the large Ranuncula Dies and stenciled with Misty Moonlight ink
to create more depth to my layout...
I also added the Misty Moonlight ink with the Blending Brushes to
add colour to stencil Ranuncula to other parts of my layout as I was almost finished...
I used a sticky note to cover my photo mat to ensure
that I didn't get ink where I didn't want it.
Lots of stenciling & masking today in this layout.
Next I cut out some of the leaf dies from the Ranunuculus Dies
from our gorgeous New Horizons DSP.
I also die cut the largest Ranunucula die 3 times for my flowers on the layout
in Petal Pink cardstock and then I used our Blending Brushes
to add more Petal Pink ink to them.
AND then I used Stampin' Spritzers to lightly spritz with water
and scrunched them up to give a bit more texture to the die...
I am really happy with how they turned out.
Adding some Crumb Cake cardstock die cut leaves from the same die set.
I simply added a bit more texture to the leaves with some Crumb Cake ink with
Blending Brushes as these dies also leave some texture as well as die cutting.
The rest of the layout was very simple (KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid)
I used Misty Moonlight cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock as my card mats for photos.
I die cut the long Petal Pink cardstock with the Palms Dies.
I wrapped Misty Moonlight/Petal Pink Ribbon Combo around my layout and tied a bow.
as it has both the shadow and the actual die cut word to finish off my layout...
Lastly I added Polished Dots from Symbols of Fortune suite in Jan-June Mini.
I have only just finished my layout before going Live at 2pm.
Up next is Julia Quinn and I am sure that she will have an AMAZING layout.
